From sign-ups, to buying (and labeling) all the gear, to getting the dirt stains out of the WHITE pants ( #baseballmomsagainstwhitepants ), to buying and prepping dozens of snack bags, to making sure you have band-aids, tylenol, pepto, benadryl, ice packs, hand warmers, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, a backup sweatshirt when dad said, "it's going to be hot" and the Keating wind picks up, did we mention the backup snacks?....and everything in between...we know we could never play this game without all that you do. . The Uber driver shoveling food in the back seat while we race from school pick up to pre-game warmups, managing to get homework done at 8:30pm on a Tuesday, being the loudest cheerleader (and often sideline coach), being the first hug after a devastating loss or biggest hit of the season. Whether you gained your role at birth, or later in their life. From the neighbor, to the aunt, to the grandma. Your presence in the life of a baseball player is priceless and your support will help them succeed far beyond the diamond. . We play against friends who we secretly cheer for....wanting them to get a big hit, but also not wanting them to get a big hit. We play against former teammates while making bonds with new ones. We celebrate the growth of every player over the course of the season and witness that hard work really does pay off as more strikes are thrown and more hits are made. . Off the field. We are family. 🌟 Champions Spotlights: Meet Rayna! 🌟 . Rayna Neff has been playing Challenger Baseball for the past ten years and this is her second year with the Vacaville Pony Champions Club Team. . In honor of Autism Awareness month we celebrate Rayna and her abilities, despite the many challenges she faces daily. . She loves being in the community with her friends and rocking out to her music🤘🏼🎼.
