Hello everyone! I think itโs about time I introduce myself. My name is Tyana, and I am the sole person behind Vulpes Leather. Everything made is made by my two hands, and I do most of everything else that comes with running a hobby business ๐ HOWEVER, I want to say thank you for my family and friends who help me in many other ways: with ideas, advice and support! As well as to all of YOU! As I mentioned in the previous post, my main interests are Nature and History. And I am lucky enough to study both at University right now. Hence why you probably could have noticed a considerable drop in my productivity since September ๐ Besides Uni and leathercraft, I love many other crafts as well: knitting (so relaxingโบ๏ธ), sewing (haven't done that in so long ๐ญ), blacksmithing (I am still very bad at it, but 2020 resolution is to get better ๐ช). Maybe some others that I am forgetting at the moment ๐ The love for leather started unconsciously somewhere deep in childhood with... The smell ๐ of the smell of my father's outdoor gear, association with excitement, adventure yet security. First, I'd like to explain a bit about my logo. I designed and drew it myself, based on my interests: biology and history. I wanted it to have a feeling of both. Hence why the skull, although stylistic rather than realistic for the sake of easier logo design; the reference both to biology, but also history/archaeology/paleontology, right? The same goes for using Latin name Vulpes (Fox), both scientific name and use of old dead language as well (and I also have a soft spot for ancient Latin!). The overall round shape of the logo, the font and the placement of the writing and the side view of the fox is an attempt to remotely resemble an ancient coin.
