It’s an extensive and detailed report that focuses on your likes and photoshoot goals. - Consultation: We meet in-person to discuss your goals, ideal photoshoot, and schedule your services. - Mood Board: During the meeting, we review different mood boards of photoshoots that the Creative Department drafted based on what you filled out on your Intake Form. At this stage, designs can be changed over and over again until you are satisfied. - Storyboard: Once the mood board has been approved, we move onto the tedious part. The older you get the less you remember yourself. Here was the first part of the self portrait series I worked on a few years ago. I recreated old Polaroids of my grandmother, and great grandmother to show myself really that I look more like my mother’s side than I realize. Being bi-racial always feels so muddy and othered and unidentifiable. The older I get the more I realize the defining of my identity is mine, no one else can or has the right to do that for me. Flipped through some old pictures with my grandmother this weekend and here’s your reminder to remind your elders how beautiful they were and are.

You need to know where you stand in your journey! I can’t tell you how many times I was frustrated, lost and felt overwhelmed because I was trying to do ALL THE THINGS to make my business work. & as I’ve reflected in my past experiences, this is what I realized about my journey: In phase 1: I was trying so hard to get clients instead of focusing on finding my ideal client, specializing my website, building my social media presence, and putting together the perfect service for my ideal client. In phase 2: I was so focused on figuring out why I wasn’t creating enough demand yet so that I can quit my hospital job instead of focusing on building a sustainable marketing strategy and a strategy to gradually raise my prices faster. I should’ve been tracking my metrics, going hard on SEO, networking, establishing know/like/trust on socials and monitoring my COBD. In phase 3: I was focused on taking on all I can get, since I created demand for my business without focusing on building a business that won’t burn me out and be sustainable for the long term. I should’ve been outsourcing and streamlining my biz as well as taking time off for myself. For the most part, most of us will go through similar phases in our journey and let me tell you: you’ll feel like quitting at all three points LOL But you’re not a quitter. You’re the figure it out type👏🏽 These are all different phases I support my clients through in 1:1 coaching. By quickly glancing over my profile, you can get a pretty solid idea of how I “see” scenes, people, things. Let’s take that a bit further. Here’s a small step into my mind: When it comes to experiencing life, I love noticing small moments. Like when I grab the window seat at a cafe and sunbeams start to dance across the table. Or when I witness two strangers meeting and seeing them find out they have some random, seemingly insignificant connection and that makes them both light up and see each other differently. Or when I sit at an airport terminal and watch the varying body language of passengers leaving the plane that just landed, and silently ponder their stories, who they left, who they are about to see. & if we end up meeting, here are some things I can talk a lot about: Bunnies (I adopted one around six years ago!) Teaching (I was a middle school teacher before I took my photography full-time) Cooking (not that I’m an expert at it, but maybe you are? lol) Books and podcasts (I’m always in the middle of seven books and listening to various podcasts as I run around) Myers-Briggs personality types (this began to intrigue me when I realized I naturally gravitated towards people who had the exact same personality type as mine, or personality types that were very, very different than mine) Say hello below! M+I had such a lovely wedding day! We started off at M’s family’s house for an intimate Chinese tea ceremony before the main event at @chabotspace 🪐 they got to check out this super cool telescope (unfortunately they weren’t able to look through it because of the humidity that night) M’s holographic dress was so cool and unique- it really matched the vibe of their wedding! Their wedding party was so much fun- I was so happy they were down to help me create the first image in the carousel 🏃♂️ They had so many cute details, like their Disney themed table names!
