Cline Cellars is usually one of our first suggestions for guest tastings in Sonoma. Their tasting room is located in a rustic 1850s farmhouse that is original to the property and surrounded by six spring-fed ponds and thousands of rose bushes. They produce rich Zinfandels and distinctive Rhône style wines for which they have garnered enormous acclaim. Any of their 2016 reds (Zin, Mouvedre, Carignane) are must tries when visiting.

One of their most impressive attributes is their dedication to sustainable farming recently becoming the 2nd largest winery in California that is completely solar powered. And instead of using herbicides 1500 sheep and 500 goats roam their vineyards, tasked with removing invasive weeds. For that alone they deserve a huge cheers! 🐑🍷🐐
