Parliament hold art tours on the first Friday of each month at 3pm. Tours are delivered by @artgallerywa guides who have intimate knowledge on the works displayed throughout Parliament House. Within the collection is a painting by Owen Garde titled 'An Early Meeting of the Legislative Council' (background). Our work 'Shield of Voices' (foreground) is perfectly sited amongst the pioneering men in Garde's painting and the portraits of the "first women" in the adjacent hall. The entire collection reflects on, and gives a rich understanding of what it is to be Western Australian.
