It has taken a little while, but Brigade HQ is finally getting an accurate collection of officers for the staff. When I first started @bloodyredtabs I played it safe by using impressions that were compatible with the battalions within @49th_division_lha - hence KOYLI, Hallams and Dukes impressions I’ve previously worn. By the @nomanslandmultiperiod event 2023, I was aware of the various regiments that made up the specific staff officers within 146 Bde. Having managed to sort my own impression for the last NML, I have worked hard behind the scenes with @modelingduo and @sams_reenactment99 to get their impressions right for this year. Still work to do, but they are coming together nicely, and arguably we are the only guys on the circuit doing such niche impressions!

Our gallant Oxf and Bucks Light Infantry Brigade Major is joined for a photo with two fellow staff wallahs - GSO3 T/Capt Long (Hampshire Regiment) and IO T/Capt Lowe (KOSB) somewhere in Holland November 1944. None of their parents regiments have any involvement in the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division but their skills are more important than their cap badge, hence their attachment to the staff of a formation they might never have encountered when they first joined the Army.
