NUANCE… It’s all about nuance. There are only but so many exercises a coach can program. What makes a workout successful isn’t what is written on the paper but how you execute those workouts. Intention is the difference between getting results or not getting results. Intention allows you to focus all of your energy directly towards the muscle you’re working on. Generating the most amount of Intra Muscular Tension as possible which later leads to muscle growth. After taking a two-week break from leg workouts, it actually felt like a great break from the constant, demanding and heavy-duty workouts. I decided to shock my body, muscles, and nervous system with a Tom Platz leg workout, where powerlifting weights meet bodybuilding reps. For example, squatting 8-12 sets for 20 reps on each set with varying weights, and finishing with strong static holds to get use to heavier weight. Glutes and hamstrings = toasted🍞🔥 I had a little extra time today so I took slightly longer rest breaks and added in an extra set of RDLs since I was feeling so good. My glutes are by far my most stubborn muscles to grow and feel when lifting, so I’m glad I had a little extra time to prioritize them and focus on mind-muscle connection! These workouts tend to be hit or miss for me- some days it goes great, others I feel like I’m just spinning my wheels🛞🙃 What has helped me significantly to improve my mind-muscle connection to my glutes👇🏼 - Using lighter weights - Activating my glutes using a band - Doing 2 warm up sets instead of 1 - Actually focusing on the muscles and the technique - Slowing down the movement These minor adjustments have helped me a lot in the past few months since changing my split into focus days. 👉🏼It doesn’t have to be 10 exercises, 20+ working sets, or a 2 hour long workout to be effective for stubborn muscle groups!!! 🦋 back workout 🦋 i train more than just legs so heres the proof LOL 
back is honestly my least favourite day of the week but we do what we gotta do to stay balanced 🤷🏼‍♀️

here’s my workout deets: - dynamic warm up/mobility - pull ups : 3 x 15 - AMRAP bodyweight then finish with assisted - straight arm pull down : 2 x 20 + 2 x 10-12 (2 working sets to failure) - T bar row : work up to a heavy/challenging weight, then one cluster set of 5+5+5 with 15s rest in between - THEN straight into one drop set until failure - lat pulldown :2 x 12-15 (slow & controlled) then 2 x 8-10 (heavy working sets to failure) - high row (not shown): 4 x 12-15, increasing weight every set but slow & controlled reps to failure

mind muscle connection in back muscles takes a looooong time to feel (at least ive found that personally and with a lot of my clients) 
it helps to think about what what muscles you aim to be using in a movement even if you cant feel them length and contract yet

Mind muscle connection. That is something I have always struggled with. I am even working with a physio therapist. If you are not engaging the right muscles or have proper form, you will not get the results that you want. It's OK to slow down, modify, and ask for help to get it right.
