Our 3rd artist reveal is none other than @martahewson ✨✨ Marta Hewson was born and raised in Portugal, where she developed a passion for photography at the age of 15 while exploring the interesting images in Art and Fashion Magazines, and discovering the magic of the darkroom. She later moved to Canada to study photography, and worked as an assistant for some of the top fashion photographers in Toronto. She opened her studio in Hamilton in 2000, which aside from commissioned photoshoots, has been the hub for many collaborations, art projects, workshops, and events. On April 13, Sajan Dhakal, an international student at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, hosted an event called Soul of the Himalaya. Volunteers from the Nepalese Community came to pose for local portrait artists and artists from the Portrait Society of America. An exhibit and fundraiser will be held, date to be announced, at the Non Residential Nepalese Association in hopes of raising money for an Art Association in Nepal and to fund an art workshop there.
