[DIMANCHE RÉTRO] Le rendez-vous est de retour ! Et avec la relecture d’un de mes romans préférés : #lovetheoretically de @alihazelwood . Il est sorti ce mois-ci en français chez @hautevillefr . Elsie étudie la thermodynamique mais à défaut de pouvoir effectuer des recherches, elle est prof vacataire. Payée au lance-pierre, elle joue les petites amies parfaites pour payer son loyer. Greg est son client préféré. Pour lui, elle fera tout, même affronter Jack, son frère. Jack qu’elle déteste cordialement. Mais quand son monde de petite amie parfaite rencontre son vrai monde avec Jack qui est le dernier rempart face au job de ses rêves, Elsie va devoir utiliser toutes ses théories et son honnêteté pour y arriver. Même si c’est une relecture en français, je suis toujours aussi dingue d’Elsie et Jack. Elsie est toujours aussi géniale. Ses fragilités, son manque de confiance en elle et son amour de Twilight m’ont encore touchée en plein cœur. J’ai aussi aimé le fait qu’elle soit diabétique. Cela donne un petit truc en plus. Quant à Jack … il est ce book boyfriend parfait. Celui qui tombe amoureux le premier mais qui va tout faire pour mettre Elsie en confiance pour la faire craquer. Je fonds encore une fois. Et le 🌶️ reste soft et nettement moins vulgaire que les tomes précédents. J’ai trouvé plus crédible. Une romance toute mignonne dans l’univers du STEM mais qui nous plonge vraiment dans une ambiance très très scientifique. En effet, dans les thématiques, on va vraiment avoir la place de la femme dans ce milieu et les galères qui les accompagnent. C’est encore une fois traité avec justesse. Et la romance qui prend son temps comme j’aime … bref ! And with LOVE THEORETICALLY, I'm officially done with Ali Hazelwood's published adult novels. • Elsie is an adjunt theoretical professor and part-time fake girlfriend with an interview for her dream job right around the corner. The problem? She somehow has to win over Jack, who is confused to see her at the interview--isn't she his brother's girlfriend and a librarian? The even bigger problem--Jack is infamous in the science community for hating theoretical physics. • Really enjoyed this one, though it is at the bottom of my Hazelwood favorites list. It was less romantic and more sad to me. Elsie has a lot of trust issues and fears abandonment, so she changes herself to fit in with whomever she's talking to. I liked seeing her growth throughout the novel and the fact that Jack supported it. Maybe I related too much? I didn't feel butterflies, I felt attacked. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📚 BOOK • REVIEW 📚 ✨ Thoughts ✨ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.3 I really enjoyed @alihazelwood’s “Love Theoretically!” 🧬 It’s the story of Jack and Elsie, two rival physicists with more in common than they thought. When they meet, Elsie is passing herself off as Jack’s brother Greg’s fake girlfriend. But while Jack is observant and suspicious of her, she also knows of Jack through his history in her field: at 17, Jack wrote a prank article to an academic journal that had lasting consequences for the subject Elsie cares deeply for. Mutual dislike ensues. And yet, not only does their work overlap, but in an effort to rise professionally, Elsie needs Jack to succeed at her interview at MIT. As MIT head, he has sway over the candidate chosen for the position Elsie wants. Underneath though, I got a Pride and Prejudice vibe from them. They push each other’s buttons and give as good as they get. Nonetheless, lots of misunderstandings and incorrect character assumptions are made. In reality, Jack has a secret crush on her and is torn over lusting after “Greg’s girlfriend,” admires her as a physicist too despite their clashing fields, and is softer and more wounded than she expected. For Elsie, the theme of real vs. fake exists, and much to her consternation, she finds that she can only be herself around Jack. He’s the only one she gives the real Elsie to and it takes time for Elsie to change her idea of who she thinks Jack is. He becomes the only person in her life that sees her fully, wants nothing from her, and values “Elsie” while encouraging her to stand up for herself. Après avoir découvert Ali Hazelwood avec « The Love Hypothesis », je suis tombée amoureuse de son univers et de ces romances plus qu’addictives. J’ai donc lu comme il se devait « Love on the brain », « Check & Mate », et enfin « Love, Theoretically » que j’ai tout autant adoré que ces grands frères. « Love, Theoretically » est un coup de cœur. Il est, jusque là, mon petit chouchou d’Ali et croyez-moi j’en suis la première surprise. J’avais tellement aimé TLH, que je ne pensais pas que ce serait possible de le détrôner ! He not only fit the description of Jack Smith as a sandy blonde with blue-hazel eyes, but felt like he had the maturity and look to be a physicist. Jack is also a laid back guy for the most part, while also being observant, which is something Chad can pull off. For Elsie, I wanted to go for the studious, nerdy option and felt like @emmy fit that. She has an academic but young look to her and could portray someone who is at a professional crossroads. She also matched how Elsie’s supposed to look in terms of her hair and chocolate eye color so that was a bonus. These are my picks! I actually thought it ended perfectly, although I wish we saw more of Nolan and Mal! As a YA debut novel, it was a great start and makes me more excited for her future works!! Povedzte mi, že ste túto trilógiu čítali alebo sa chystáte, pretože je to absolútna dokonalosť 🥹 Veľa recenzií a hodnotenie na Goodreads sľúbilo, že Teória lásky je najlepšia časť a mali recht 🤌🏼 Opäť vedecké prostredie, ale tentoraz bol dej oveľa prepracovanejší a zaujímavejší. Hlavná hrdinka Elsie vyučuje termodynamiku a vo voľnom čase si privyrába ako falošná priateľka so svojou kamarátkou a spolubývajúcou. Jej charakter mi občas liezol na nervy, ale nie do takej miery, aby mi pokazila celkový dojem z knihy. Na druhú stranu to bola netradičná a originálna hrdinka, ktorá mala pekný vývoj a pracovala na svojom probléme veľmi realisticky. Tak isto na mňa pôsobila aj záverečná zápletka. Žiadny na silu alebo umelo vytvorený konflikt. Jacka som zbožňovala od začiatku. Je brat obľúbeného klienta Elsie a tiež sedí v prijímacej komisii na výskumnú univerzitu kde sa chce dostať. Páčilo sa mi aký bol priamy, ako mu na Elsie záležalo a pomáhal jej, ako sa od začiatku netajil tým, že sa mu páči. Táto časť bola neskutočne vtipná. Nestáva sa často, aby ma kniha nahlas rozosmiala, ale tejto sa to podarilo hneď niekoľko krát. 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲🧡 ❕️A sorpresa - non so per chi, per me sicuramente – questo libro credo sia uno dei miei preferiti della Hazelwood, sicuramente il preferito degli STEM. Perché a sorpresa? Perchè molte recensioni mi avevano fatta temere che non mi sarebbe piaciuto! ✨️Quando invece: La protagonista è la migliore, quella con cui mi sento più affine e che mi ha davvero fatta morire dalle risate (la simpatia dell’autrice non si batte mai). Il protagonista è di una dolcezza indicibile, ovviamente he fells first e mi ha devastata il momento della sua dichiarazione. 💞Il loro rapporto sano e costruttivo mi ha sciolta il cuore, grazie a lui che la comprende davvero, che capisce quando mente e quando cerca di accontentare gli altri, lei riesce a fare un glow up pazzesco. È proprio questo che ogni relazione dovrebbe fare, renderti la versione migliore di te stessa. 🤡Un’altra fattore che ho amato è l’assenza quasi totale del trope della miscomunication, che nei primi due libri mi ha mandata al manicomio. 🧬Nonostante, invece, venga spesso e volentieri criticato in quanto molto più accademico degli altri, devo dire che per quanto io sia una super ignorante di STEM, non ho notato tutta questa differenza dai precedenti e non mi è pessto per niente. 🥺Anche qui abbiamo una di quelle situazioni che mi hanno straziato il cuore, dove chi ha il potere ne usufruisce a suo favore e a discapito di quello che vorrebbero o meriterebbero altre persone. 💥I personaggi in questo terzo libro sono caratterizzati alla perfezione, si nota il miglioramento a livello di scrittura della Hazelwood, ti fa entrare nei loro pensieri più profondi, le loro paure ed i loro desideri, in modo molto più diretto. 💌Il rapporto che la protagonista ha con la migliore amica e coinquilina, Cece, è stato un toccasana per il mio cuore, una di quelle amicizie pure e senza invidia. 🌶Le scene spicy raga… meravigliose!! 🐣Gli easter egg su Love on the Brain con Marie Curie, ed il cammeo di Olive ed Adam mi ha fatta impazzire, quanto amo quando i personaggi di storie autoconclusive finiscono per incontrarsi e fare amicizia! ⁉️Letto? ⁉️Qual è il vostro preferito?🌈

Myślałam o sięgnięciu po książkę tej autorki już od dłuższego czasu, słysząc dobre opinie o jej romansach i w końcu się do tego przekonałam (Biedronka thank you za promocję). Elsie Hannaway prowadzi podwójne życie. Za dnia jest wykładowczynią fizyki teoretycznej, a nocą by więcej zarobić jest udawaną partnerką - kreuje siebie na osobę jaką jej partner potrzebuje. Wszystko wymyka się spod kontroli, gdy w jej życiu pojawia się Jack Smith. Starszy brat jej ulubionego klienta i fizyk eksperymentalista. Co więcej, dziewczyna próbuję zdobyć prace na MIT, a on zasiada w komisji rekrutacyjnej. Powiem wam, że nie sądziłam że aż tak mnie ta książka wciągnie! Książka jest lekka i przyjemna, pomimo że kręci się w świecie fizyki, przeczytałam ją naprawdę szybko. Jest to świetny romans, który według mnie jest dobrze wyważony oraz ma boski humor. Maile od studentów zapewniają świetną rozrywkę, a przez wiele tekstów się zaśmiałam. Spodobała mi się również główna bohaterka i jej przemiana przez całą książkę. Poznajemy Elsie jak odkrywa siebie oraz radzi sobie z trudnościami w życiu prywatnym jak i zawodowym. Naprawdę żałuję, że nie czytałam książek tej autorki wcześniej i napewno sięgnę po jej pozostałe dzieła by je nadrobić. Eventually she realises that she can express her true self around him and they fall for each other. 🫧My Review I knew I’d like this book because I love The Love Hypothesis. I didn’t expect the Adam-Olive cameo and I was super excited. This book made me giggle so much. They have great chemistry and their banter is hilarious. This is the perfect slow burn romance. Even though this is slightly similar to The Love Hypothesis, Elsie and Jack didn’t meet Adam and Olive’s standards and hence 4.5 stars. The story delves into the hardships of the STEM academia which I surprisingly enjoyed. I liked that the story also explored about the main leads’ family. The plot is unique for a fake dating trope. Oh and I also love Cece.. she seems like such a great friend. This was easy to read and I finished it in like a day and a half. Elsie had the best character development- she went from being a people pleaser to a self assured woman, all thanks to Jack. She is such a strong character because she’s endured so much. And she’s funny. I like Jack’s character but I wish it was more dynamic, like I wanna know more about him. Meeting Ali Hazelwood and getting my books signed was not something I thought would be possible this year. Despite being in the rain for 2 hours, the experience was worth it because Ali Hazelwood along with the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They even let me take a vid for my sister who loves Ali but couldn’t be there. I got her to personalised Love Hypothesis because it was the first of her books I read but also because it was my favourite. But really wishing I got Bride personalised now since I LOVE IT MORE! ❤️

(Les théoriciens vs les expérimentalistes.) C'est plus qu'intéressant et j'ai été ravie de constater que l'auteure s'est basé sur des faits réels concernant l'imposture de Jack. Les chapitres sont un peu longs mais la plume d'Ali est tellement incroyable que les pages défilent toutes seules ! Tenía esta reseña pendiente pero la maternidad hace que todo sea un caos y el tiempo se me pasa volando 😮💨 Este es el primer libro que leo de Ali Hazelwood y los tenía pendientes desde hace bastante tiempo. • Debo admitir que me costó un poco agarrarle el gusto al libro, quizás porque acababa de terminar de leer Alas de Hierro y estaba como 🤯 pero no me enganchó de la manera en que esperaba, para empezar porque no me sentía para nada atraída a Jack y me estresaba el énfasis contante en que era ‘grande’. • Es una comedia romántica liviana y entretenida con algo spicy 🔥 pero para mi gusto algo predecible, así que no esperen grandes giros en la historia • Mi personaje favorito fue Cece y en mi opinión debería tener su propia historia • Me gustaron las referencias a la cultura pop que se presentaban en el libro y también que estuviera inserto en el mundo de la física, que al menos para mí, es terreno casi completamente desconocido. Going to expose myself a little bit here 🫣 but a part of the reason I love reading (and rereading!!) Ali Hazelwood books is because I love that her protagonists are in STEM. This past year has been rough as I’ve been trying to switch between STEM majors which has meant stacked classes and summer school hell. Buttt as dumb as it sounds, reading about people (fictional or not) who have been able to accomplish what I’m trying to do is comforting and makes me feel more like it’s all going to be okay :)) Also, I love her writing style!!!
4.7 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Love Theoretically is top 2 on my list for Ali Hazelwood reads. Something I loved from this read were all the Twilight references lol 🐺🧛🏻♂️🩸!! Comment réussit-elle à nous transporter dans son monde et à nous faire rire et rêver en même temps ? Ce livre est un sans faute pour moi, et c'est sans hésiter un coup de coeur ❤️🔥 J'ai adoré l'univers scientifique où elle dénonce la politique académique, qu'elle a exploitée avec brio. Je ne me suis pas ennuyé une seconde d'où le fait que je l'ai lu d'une traite sans m'arrêter. Je me suis beaucoup attaché aux personnages et à leur relation qui est un véritable slow burn avec beaucoup de tension. J'ai aimé le fait que ce soit pour une fois la protagoniste qui ait des faiblesses et que ce soit le protagoniste masculin qui l'aide avec bienveillance à aller mieux. Peut-on parler de la bienveillance de Jack envers Elsie et l'importance du consentement à ses yeux ? Ça ajoute tellement de charme, vous allez forcément fondre 🫠 Lisez-le vite si ce n'est pas déjà fait, vous allez ajouter un nouveau bookboyfriend à votre liste 💫 Vous avez déjà craqué ? Onun o paylaşımını içimde yaşıyorum orada kalıyor benimle gerçekten😅sonra yorum atmayı unutuyorum🙂↕️ Aşk, Teorik Olaraktan bahsettiğimden beri çevremden hep ne kadar iyi olduğuna dair övgüler duyuyordum. Keza yabancı bloglerlarında Ali’nin en sevdiği kitabı diye gözlemliyorum. Kitabı okumaya başladığımda herkesin neden bu kadar övdüğünü anlamış oldum. Sonuna kadar hak ediyor. Akademik savaşların, bu camiada yer bulmamın zorluğunu yazar gerçekten çok iyi anlatıyor. Özellikle bir kadın olarak buraya tutunmak ince bir iple sallanmak gibi. Bunun bu kadar gerçekçi olması okurken karın ağrıtıyor hatta bir miktar. Yazarın diğer kitaplarından daha farklı işleyişe sahipti bu arada. Şükürler olsun Jack erken açıldı yoksa son 5 sayfa okurduk herhalde ikisini😂😂 galiba yazarın kitaplarında en sevdiğim kısımlardan biri erkek karakterlerin sonsuz destek, güven ve sevgisi. Bunu hem koşulsuz hem de sarsılmaz bir inançla yapıyorlar o yüzden hissettirdikleri sizi daha fazla etkiliyor. Elsie.. Elsieeee seni o kadar çok sevdim ki. Yani neyini anlatsam bilemiyorum her şeyinle çok sevdim.😻 keşke ailenin ağzının payını daha çok verseydin kızım ay Ali kitaplarında en sevmediğim şey şöyle okkalı birkaç söz söylememeleri.
