Uhhhweeeee today’s workout was killer! @ackdntstp challenged me to up my weight load, so I did ☺️ It was a challenge, everything burned, I growled a bit, I huffed and puffed, pushed and pulled and got it done 🙌🏻 I was able to do more than I thought and ended up feeling proud, accomplished and strong afterwards. I’m trying out new medicine for my stomach and for my lungs/asthma as well. It’s totally messing with my body and I feel sicker 😳 “It’s just the startup faze the doctors say” but phew I don’t feel good. So I decided to stop with one of the things. I need to listen to my body and just take it one thing at a time, so my system can adapt and I know which does what and if it even helps! In the middle of all this, I’m still trying to keep up with my healthy routine with my food and workout, being there for my kids and family. My workout plan is switching between strength workout, yoga and biking. I need to move my body. I need to keep going, while still taking the time to rest whenever I need it. Finally, feeling more like myself again 🎉 Still struggling with my asthma/breathing, but I’m on the right track. I’ve been keeping up with my workouts throughout it all 🙌🏻 I’m still trying to add heavier weights , minding my neck and back issues and it’s getting better to 🥳 Since covid my max. time on my indoor bike is 25 to 30 minutes, and then my asthma gets so bad I can’t go on 🫣 I’ll get back to my 60 min. it’ll just take time. It think it took around three months with side effects last time I had Covid. You know my motto: Where there’s a will there’s a way 💥 What’s your favourite motto for overcoming obstacles?

Phew it’s been a couple of months 😳 No kidding, I’ve been struggling with my body, high pain, locked joints, my sciatic nerve, neck, shoulder and my knee pain has increased again. It takes it’s toll on my energy and mood. But I’ve kept going, done what I could and what I had to. Luckily with @reinventing_rifka as an amazing friend and lifeline, my mood and heart has been filled with laughter about the hole thing. I’ve been meet with understanding and kindness ❤️ It’s amazing to have a friend that know EXACTLY what your going through. I haven’t been able to do much indoor biking, pilates or lift heavy weights for some time. I’ve stayed consistent with my workouts, but mostly done yoga and my Wednesday workouts with Ray. I’m slowly adding more variety again and more weighted workouts. Today I was finally able to do a 30 min. pilates workout and even do the teaser😍🙌🏻 Woohooooo 🎉 Hopefully this means that my pelvis and sciatic nerve are getting back on track 🙏🏻 And this is where being consistent pays off: It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be getting back to it after all that time. I even felt more flexible doing some of the exercises 💪🏻 Thank you Yoga 🙏🏻 So today my team was a mix of the #lesmills #RPM, Lesmills #Pilates and I had to get my daily dose of #peterwaltersyoga so I finished with some love for my hips and hammies ❤️ 🤞🏻 Here’s to hoping better times are up ahead 🙏🏻

You’ve changed! Yoga for me has not only been a physical, but also very emotional and spiritual journey. When my knee was at it’s worst, yoga was the one thing I could continuously do on my own, even though I had to modified a lot. It helped me to keep going on my own and staying consistent with my workouts. I’ve gone from very modified, locked and in my head throughout the workout, to more capable, flexible and being in it with the flow and movements, connecting, letting go and letting it guide me, lead me with it’s energy and purpose ❤️ It’s become my passion, a need, an enlightened road on my journey ☀️ I’ve connected to myself on an even deeper level and it’s made me stronger and happier 🙏🏻 #yogajourney #yogaeveryday #myyogajourney #fibrowarrior #workingoutwithfibromyalgia #trustthejourney #grateful #olderstrongerfitter #badkneewontstopme

Morning feel-good yoga and dance with #peterwaltersyoga ☀️ Went from hurting and stiff joints to smooth easy movements and my spirit lifted ❤️🙏🏻 I wish that I had tried yoga before on my journey. I know it came to me when I was ready, but the reward from it is so profound. I still have to modify some movement and some I can’t even do, but there’s always options and the reward and all over feel good feeling is the same. I feel so connected to myself, body and mind. I feel open, at ease and connected to the universal energy. I can’t wait to tomorrow morning’s yoga session. Best way to start my day ❤️🙏🏻

I’ve been alone with my kids most of last week. Luckily I have the best most amazing kids, so everything has run smoothly. There’s been lots to do with after school activities, parent-teacher conference and every day things. Normally I would work out in the morning before work, but being alone, I had homework time and getting everything ready with my kids in the morning instead. So I’ve worked out after work instead. I’ve done yoga, bodybalance, shapes and bodypump all with #lesmills. I have struggled the last days through… and I was super annoyed by it. You know what I just thought about! How far I’ve come 🤩 Thanks for the reminder today @_thefitcurator ❤️ Do you remember to celebrate your progress and victories? Before my knee injury I did a mile run timed before my workout with Ray. A mile and then the last couple of steps home. I was competing with myself, but that all went out the window with this broken knee. I was only able to bike to and from work and then a little yoga. I was in a wheelchair when we went out on trips. I’ve totally forgotten how far I’ve come 🤪 It still hurts. It still limits me tremendously, but I’m able to do much more walking now. I’m even able to do squats and deadlifts with weights. Slow and controlled, but I’m doing it🙌🏻 Progress is progress and I’m so proud of myself ❤️ It will never be as before and somethings I will never be able to do again, but I’m a: find a way kinda girl, so I’ll keep on working on finding other ways to do what I love 💪🏻 So now I’m back at it with the challenge. I’ll just walk it ☀️ Thanks for having my back and helping me out @_thefitcurator You’re the best 🤗

Finally 🙌🏻 I feel better 🎉 I feel like I’ve been sleeping for days…wait I have 🫣 well I feel the fever leaving my body and I’m getting my strength back 💪🏻 Wednesday I did no workout. To sick 😬 Thursday I did a #lesmills shapes work nr.4 😮That Erin mean’s business 🔥 butt hot spots 🤩 Afterwards I did a short little yoga flow from #bodybalance. My inner thighs were struggling in today’s #rpm ride. Definitely feeling it from yesterday’s workout. Luckily Glen always delivers with his amazing energy, coaching and the great music, so I pushed through and got a good ride done 🙌🏻 I did a good couple of stretches and workout completed 👍🏻 I’m trying out a new way of eating and learning a lot about food and glucose. I’m following the hacks and ideas from #glucosegoddess . It’s working wonders for my ibs 🤩I had her book with me when we went to Spain. It is so easy to understand and to apply the hacks. So I already started applying some them while on vacation. I went from full ibs flare up to no bloating in 2 days 💃🏼 I had been struggled with the flare up for several weeks this time around and just like that poof… I feel amazing 🎉 I’ll share more about the journey, as I go along. I really recommend reading her book. It’s game changing 🤩

#lesmills Shapes is AAAAAMAZING 🎉 It’s a new workout category in the app. Its a mix of Pilates, Barre and Yoga. A fiery full body sculpt and burn workout 🔥 It’s challenging and I’m soooooo gonna feel this one tomorrow 😬 but I love how it has modifications, even though I go for the harder options on most exercises, I sometimes have to mind my knee or neck and I can easily choose the modified option, I don’t have to make one up myself. I had a terrible night 😳 Decided to stay on the couch. Couldn’t sleep, to much pain. Tossed and turned. So when the alarm clock went off at 5 am. I wasn’t feeling all that good and struggled to get up. I had planned to do a 55 min. #lesmills #rpm workout, but my body was so so sore, tight, fatigued and tired, so I considered skipping it. Then my inner Ray said: Try, do what you can. So I did. I had to level down in resistance, because my lower back just wasn’t having it and I was so fatigued. Hmmm should I stop I thought! Well this interval it’s Glenn coaching …. Okay, let’s go. Well now it’s Dee, uhh Josh, uhhh this song’s so great… 20 minutes in my body was feeling it and finally let go some of the tension. I finished the whole 55 minute workout and I felt amazing and thanked my body for a job well done and rewarded myself with a good short flexibility bodybalance 🙌🏻🎉 Shower, work and here I go….. Friday bring it on ☀️

My Friday 🤩 As always when I feel better after a flare up, I tend to do a lot. Yesterday was no exception. Started of with two great workouts with #lesmills Rachel is so fun an amazing, I literally laughed out loud serval times. Great quick little full body workouts. The weight part of my workout came in after work, when I lifted many, oh so many bags of 15 kg rocks and then smoothed them out. Ta daaaaa a little upgrade to our outside bonfire place. And of cause we had to christening it with friends and wine ❤️🥂🍹 But first dinner out by the water and a good paddle ride with my beautiful family 👍🏻🤗 Saturdays here 🙌🏻 Rest day workout wise and time for an adventure with family is up ahead 🎢🎡🎠🗿🎉

I know, I sound like a broken record, but it never cease to amaze me how much my body can handle and how strong it is. It started my warmup tired, fatigued and locked throughout my body. 10 min. in my RPM ride I was warm and moving more quickly and fluidly. The last 10 min. I felt stronger, happier and had a party on the bike 🎉 Warmed up and ready for my one on one with @_thefitcurator I still doubted how much I would be able to do today. Still flared up a bit, fatigued and in pain, my muscles took over and carried me through, strong and capable. I’ve now gotten a good basic strength to rely on to help my body get through my days, even the bad ones. This just proves to me that consistency is key and a little every day goes a long way 💪🏻 remembering back to where I started with just walking 20 minutes 3-5 times a week. I love knowing how I looked before I started my workout and then seeing the big smile on my face after my workout with Ray ❤️ Movement helps and a good coach goes a looooooong way ☀️

Still struggling with the flare up. My body is super fatigued and tired, my pain level is high. It’s taking all I have in me to keep a straight face and exist, not to break into tears and I’m overwhelmed by a feeling of giving up….. but then I think, what does that even mean, how will I give up and the answer is always I won’t, I can’t and I never will. That’s not me. I get where it comes from, because its not easy. I don’t know how a person can live with this much pain, but I do. I surprise myself every day. Then I get up and just take it one step at a time, one task at a time and do what I can. The pain is my life companion, but I choose to not let it lead me. It may limit me, but I’m the pilot, I’m in charge. So I’m doing what I can, taking the time I need and getting things done.

This is Tim. Tim is nearly 70. He started training three months ago. He has lost six kilos and dropped a significant amount of visceral fat - the stuff that can kill you - just by thinking a bit more about what he’s eating - and by moving. Much, much more moving and in particular strength training. This is Tim’s first hold on a bar for a deadlift - needed lots of work - and then his first time ever deadlifting. He went off feeling well pleased - and why wouldn’t he? Perfect? No. Good enough? Absolutely! This is training for functional strength, for helping Tim to age well, to keep his body working well into his 70s, 80s and beyond. This was my morning 💪🏻😍👍🏻 How was yours? I switched rest day from Saturday to Friday. My body had nothing to give yesterday other than what I had to. I had hoped I would get a yoga in later in the evening, but no. So today it was so up and at it 🙌🏻 This #bodypump workout was epic. Great energy, coaching and it had that extra grrrrrrrr 🤨 about it 💥 A great flow, short affirmation exercises and then my meditation time ❤️ Have a wonderful day out there 🙏🏻

Yesterday’s workout with Ray was tufffffff He pushed me to push through, we did a new challenging exercise and he modified movements to suit my damaged knee, sprained toe and my all over fibro fatigue. Somehow he just keeps on pulling new stuff out of his magic hat of exercises 😄 I warmed up before Ray, with an 26 min. #RPM and yoga flow with Peter on #fiton Knowing I won’t be able to do my strength workout tomorrow, I had to get something in today. It wasn’t easy, because my muscles were still sore from yesterday, but I surprised myself and did it all and did it powerfully actually 💪🏻 I did a 30 min. #bodypump workout with #lesmills I then wanted to get some flow and flexibility in as well so I chose a quick fiery yoga flow on #fiton This one is no joke and with my sprained toe I struggled. I had to stop before it ended, but at least I did what I could and remembered to listen to my body 🤗

I so didn’t feel it today 😐 I was tired, fatigued and my mood was just down and I felt defeated .. I wanted to do a little yoga before my one on one with Ray, so today I went with my FitOn app. I found this pick me up flow with Peter Walters and thought well yeah maybe that will help. First off I felt kinda standoffish and annoyed by all the positivity and biiiiig smile. But only 5 minutes in he got me… my body melted into the moves and flow. His amazing energy rubbed off and I totally relaxed, opened up and surrendered. I felt good, flexible and I had a big smile on my face 😊 With still a little time to give I did another little flow with him as well. I was in a good mood, feeling more capable and confident by the time I time @_thefitcurator called. I surprised myself, being able to do bent over rows with 15 kg and in a combo where I afterwards had to do overhead presses with 10 kg 😳 Ray knew I could and his belief in me never ceases to amaze me 🥰 I went from feeling like zero to feeling like a hero 💪🏻Strong a capable 👍🏻 Thanks for always believing in me and pushing me to do my badass best Ray ❤️🙏🏻 Every exercise we do is done on both sides , and done 2-3 round’s depending on the day, the exercise and my body that day.

Morning yoga vinyasa flow with #lesmills and the amazing beautiful Kylie Gates ☀️ I was sore and tight from yesterday’s workout, so these flow moves really loosens up. I couldn’t do 3 full bridge poses and birds because my arms were sore, but I did what I could. About the time I was done, Bo had followed our kids to school and we quickly decided that we could squeeze in a little trip with our sup boards. We had an hour out on the water. Everything was so quiet and because it was early and a workday we had the stream mostly to our selves ❤️ This time I experimented a bit longer with standing up. I went okay, but I still prefer sitting on my knees. I’ve seen sun board yoga. I think that would be so cool. I tried downward dog and downward dog with a raised leg. I can definitely do those poses better than I did, it just takes practice. I do love a good balance challenge 🤸🏼

I’ve been struggling a bit with a flare up the last two days. Yesterday my day ended with a bad migraine and another tough night with cramps and high pain levels throughout. I had to start my day slowly today. Lots of stretching before I was even able to get out of bed. Because I did yoga yesterday and tomorrows Ray day, I had to get some cardio in today workout wise. Luckily @glen_ostergaard makes it easy to push play and give it all you got with his big smile, music choice and motivational coaching. So I had a sweat party on the bike with #RPM. I gave thanks to my body for the effort, with a good stretch and pilates mix. I loosened up some of the tension during my meditation and then it was on with the days to do’s.

I felt so drained this morning after a night with flare up, cramps throughout my entire body and very little sleep. I had planned to do a 55 min. strength training, but I had to listen to my body and still challenge myself. So it ended up being a 20 min upper body #bodypump and then a 33 min. flexibility #bodybalance. Felt good to get it done and I got more movement in body body afterwards. 5 min. breathing meditation and 5 min. gratitude meditation and I felt that my energy lifted ❤️🙏🏻

Today I had no choice but to listen 😳 I woke up with a fever and feeling ill. My body said a definite stop and rest. It wasn’t until 12.40-1 pm that my body was ready for some movement. I started walking around the house and slowly got some energy back. I wanted to do a little something something so I went for an #RPM workout. I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to do the whole 55 mins. but I’ve scrolled through it before and couldn’t wait to try it out because of the great music and vibes in it. So I pushed play and did my thing. I stopped after 35 minutes, couldn’t push myself more, but uhhhweeee it was an epic ride. Already looking forward to trying it again next time 🚴🏼‍♀️🔥 It actually gave an energy boost and I made dinner for today and tomorrow, and I even made double portions of both meals, so I have something easy in the freezer for another day ☀️

I just love to start my morning with yoga/bodybalance. After a good tai chi warm up, those amazing flows from the sun salutations does my body good. It’s so natural and it loosens up some of those stiff joints. Same thing with the pilates core series. My body just really agrees with flow movements ☀️ I love when then sun shines in through the window and helps warm everything up. I’m still recovering from the days in Amsterdam and the long trip due to delays home. It was amazing days, but my body is so tired and fatigued. Yesterday I did a 58 min. #bodybalance to get those good stretches in and still some strength. Today I started my day with an amazing 42 min. hybrid workout focusing on stretching, relaxing and that feel good feeling all over. I wanted to do some strength as well, but I didn’t have the energy. It wasn’t until late evening after dinner and we tucked in our kids that Bo and I brought out the weights and got it done. A 45 min. #lesmills #strengthdevelopement workout 🙌🏻

Happy Saturday beautiful people ☀️ I started my day early. Got some laundry done, some meal planning and then it was time to suit up and get my workout done. I started with a 26 min. strength and power focused #RPM ride. I’m struggling a bit with my breathing these days because of my allergies and it affects my asthma a lot. I’m giving it my all and tjek taking an extra puff of my inhaler when needed 🤪. I did a 11 min. upper body focused #bodypump workout before ending with a #bodybalance Pilates mix. I only managed to do 13 min. of it, because then my body demanded rest 😳 I listened and stopped. There’s still a whole day ahead and I don’t want to overdo it already 😊 Yesterday I did a 16 mon. #bodybalance strenght focused and a 30 min. #pilates mix, so I quickly felt the burn in my core today 🤩🔥

Today is better than yesterday, still in the flare up though. Had to rest a lot at the start of my day, but got my workout done 💪🏻 First a 20 min. #RPM ride and then my one on one with @_thefitcurator I surprised myself. I did more than I thought I could today and it felt gooooood 🔥 After 1 hour in my sauna blanket my body felt even better ❤️ I’m still in it, but it’s slowly loosening it’s grip this time around 🙌🏻

An amazing weekend is over ☀️ We celebrated my moms birthday 🎉 Went on a family treasure hunt in King garden in Copenhagen, found a new troll at Nordhavn and went to an amazing art museum #arken Despite the world being tuff and hard to cope with sometimes, we always have each other and this amazing bond and love that will get us through whatever comes our way ❤️ #myfamily #mywhy Saturday was rest day and because we went exploring Sunday early, Bo and I worked out late. Wooop wooop another great one on one virtual workout with @_thefitcurator ❤️ Good music, fantastic coaching, hard work, feeling that good burn and of course lots of fun 💪🏻😄👍🏻 My warmup was a great 30 minutes #RPM ride with the #lesmills team. Always beat based and with lots of supportive coaching on the way 🙌🏻 We have a busy week, both practical and emotional 🤪 but my workouts are my “me time” It’s where I let go and just do my thing. It’s where my body releases some of all the tension from everything that’s going on around me. Some days are more tuff than others, but on days like today where my body just works with me, it’s just amazing and I feel so capable and like I can handle what ever comes my way 🙌🏻

RPM bike workout, so that I was good and warm for a 30 min. workout with @_thefitcurator Yes yes we’re back on, only Wednesdays, but I’m just to appreciative for every chance I get to still be coaching by my hero and amazing coach Ray Every Wednesdays and Fridays I’ve started working out with Ella after she gets home from school and work. So fun and such a great thing to do together 🥰 It’s only 45 minutes or so, but we do what we can, stopping when needed to focus on the form and learning the right techniques from the start. She’s tuff and has a positive attitude about it, so no doubt that over time she can add on more movement and weight 💪🏻

I got new working hours at my new job. So since March I’ve been working out every morning. I wake up, help my kids with their lunches and make breakfast. We all sit together and the straight after I go to work out. This morning it was #Bodybalance 🤩 I did a 45 min. strength development workout yesterday, so my body was tight and thanked me for all the long stretches and flows. I loosened up and got some movement back in my body. I use #lesmills app every day now. A mix of: bodybalance, strength development, bodypump, bodycombat, stretch and the wellness selection. A quick shower, hopping into some clothes, bag packed and on my bike and off to work. I only have 20 min. each way now, I had 45 mins. before ☀️ A good little added movement everyday 🚴🏼‍♀️

I know I know I haven’t answered….. but we were on a break 😄 I had to take time for me. Thanks for reaching out to all who did 🙏🏻 I was struggling. My body tried to keep up but I couldn’t find the balance. So I had to make some changes 🤓 I found a new job, closer to home, hereby not overdoing it everyday physically in transportation time 🚴🏼‍♀️ I’ve gotten a year older. Proud 44 💪🏻😉👍🏻 My knee has gotten worse unfortunately. So I am tending to it as best as possible. Just finding it hard to figure out what goes and what doesn’t. My fibromyalgia has levelled up with higher pain in long periods of time and these inner muscles cramps that keeps me up at night. I still trust the journey I’m on ❤️ Breathing through it and taking it day by day ☀️ I still workout 6 days a week 🙌🏻 Haven’t stopped, won’t stop 💪🏻🤨 I still have my ups and downs food wise, but I ALWAYS bounce back. I am blessed with a body that very clearly says NO MORE, when I’ve derailed to much #ibswarrior So this is me… Still on my journey in life with fibromyalgia and all that comes with it, workouts, eating healthy, family and everything in between 🤪

So excited to have competed in the “Last Chance Meet” on Saturday. After my diagnosis in February and all the surgeries, I really had no expectations of competing this year. To say I’m super excited, and grateful is definitely an understatement. I only completed in the one event on the good advice from my coach. Women’s Masters 60 meter dash, and actually came away with a 2nd place silver medal. I was .06sec off my time last year! So here we go, I’m ready to start training for some of my other events. Sunday Sweetness Just a regular practice, nothing mind-blowing which is the beauty of an ordinary yoga practice. This is the hard work. Doing a bit every day with no expectation. Just exploring some awkward twisting and shoulder opening. I am not sure what is the name of this pose or if it exists. Probably some hybrid version of twisting, but it does no matter the pose, it felt awkwardly good. I don’t just lift weights, the weights lift me...everyone knows lifting weights is a great way to lose the fat on our bodies, to lift, shape and to start to love our bodies. Most of us also know it’s especially good for us ladies when we reach a certain age and find even if we live on dust we put fat on around the middle🤣. Not advocating living on dust btw! Still working on this ambitious pose. Visvamitrasana is a complex asana. It was the peak of my yoga practice today. So my sequence included twists, standing poses, and arm balances. This one is everything in one pose. It is fun to try after a traditional sequence. I hear people get bored with yoga. If you aim for a peak pose, it makes it much more exciting! It is like exploring a new realm.  Well, it is almost Christmas and today I am prepping my chocolate cream for the Bûche de Noël   (or yule log cake as they say here). It will be the 33rd year I make it. I have never missed one. Been ages since benching or doing GHD sit ups. Nice for a change! Then did a little workout: 3 rounds, every 5 min: 18 cal bike erg, 14 wall balls 9kg (!), 22 DL 60kg. I used to always workout late at night at the gym pre-Covid. Now that I’ve built a gym at home I prefer to do it in the morning and get it done for the day. Had a pulled muscle in my back so decided to take it easy today, but had the itch. Came down for a late night workout. I realized, my shoes I wear here are useless for Mountain Climbers. I was stepping right out of them. Took my shoes off and it was like I was on ice. Total fail there. Good thing I rarely do mountain climbers!
