Inside the kennel, he would not come closer to me for treats nor affection. Closing the kennel door, he came over to me to take treats gently from my hand through the barrier. Interacting with him later, he allowed me to open the door and place treats and toys next to him without retreating. Behavior possibly due to environment and/or lack of socialization.
