Sweet and young kitty, Woodley ( #A2133585) really needs your help getting the word out about her so she can get out of the shelter, where she is terrified, and into a much calmer, quieter environment, until she can decompress and start to feel more secure and confident with either a rescue or a very patient and loving forever home and family. Currently, Woodley is very shut down and scared at East Valley Shelter and needs help getting into a good situation/good home where she can decompress and let her guard down and allow her true personality to shine! Woodley is 1-year-old and spayed. She came in as a stray in mid-April. Woodley will let me pet her when it’s quiet - the dogs barking and people coming in and out of the cat room have her very scared and nervous. I don’t push her to engage because it only causes her to retreat to the back of the cage, even more terrified. I talk to her and give her treats and give her space to feel safe. Woodley needs a Rescue who can evaluate her and place her in the right home so the cycle in and out of shelter stops now. The video (next frame) shows how Woodley is existing (key phrase - “existing”) at the shelter - she hides herself, buried inside/wrapped under a towel or newspaper, and comes out when no one is there, so she can use her litter/eat her food. 😿💔 She deserves SO much better!!!! They said they would only call if Lily had a set back so we will take their quiet as good news. Obviously Lily is not completely out of the woods just yet, but we are cautiously optimistic that she will be okay. Keep those well-wishes and prayers coming please. Baby Lily is fighting with all that she has to stay alive. We are so relieved to get this brief update. We will be speaking with Dr. Holly Martin later this morning with a more thorough update and will share that with you all once we know more. Here's what we do know so far. Yesterday we were blessed with $1,065.44 towards this ever mounting emergency vet bill.
