🚨 Breaking News 🚨 Your local Air Force recruiter as many of you know was selected for promotion last month to Master Sergeant. After much discussion with mentors, leaders, my squadron leadership and then taking time to see Gods direction. I’ve kindly and respectfully have chosen to decline the promotion and pushed the retirement button for next summer. Thank you 2022. What a year we had. From all the new Airmen we fully qualified and shipped out. To all the schools and businesses that supported @airforcesouthholland . To the parents and guardians that trusted me with their children. To my team I work with. Being the Lance P. Sijan representative for my squadron, to being informed I was the #1 eligible TSgt for promotion. Granted things didn’t workout. But it wasn’t for lack@of effort. I did my part, and my squadron did theirs. At the time I just wasn’t want the board was looking for and that’s ok. The Memorial Day Parade, Wreath Across America, supporting @shreddedcheddarproductions in the fall, obtaining 2nd place in my bodybuilding show. My professional development Capital A had a great year as well. And 2023 will be bigger. Stay tuned for monster news in a few weeks. And lastly seeing my friend and fellow Airman @air_force_chicago_heights SSgt Bushway book 13 jobs this past quarter. Was just lovely to see. That’s not a number commonly seen in the Midwest. 🚨 Airman Spotlight 🚨 Let’s talk about Aaliyah. Went to Morgan Park High and graduated. 4 years JROTC and attained the highest rank of Battalion Commander. Started working with me her Senior year. Humbled by the asvab tests, as it does to many of us She ended going to an HBCU school. Completed one year. It was not what she thought of the experience. But glad she did it. When I first started this job on August 3rd 2020. I bought the flag you see on here. One side has 13 names for the Airmen I shipped out in FY 21; my first full fiscal year on the job. The 2nd pic is the back side of the same flag. It has 27 names of the 27 Airmen I had the privilege and honor to ship out to the Air Force for FY 21. Today was the last ship day of the Fiscal year. And everyone in my delayed entry program currently have jobs all shipping out in the new FY23. I just want to thank all 40 members I’ve shipped in my time in this job, their influencers to include parents, guardians, school staff etc. As I enter next week into FY23, what seems to be my last full fiscal year in recruiting. April 12th 2022 I shipped these 3 superstars to basic training. They all 3 ended up in the same flight, and they were all going to be defenders together. So they all went to the same tech school for security forces. Meet from@the left to the right: Airman Givens, Airman Moore, Airman Tetter. Next week they’ll be working for me via the RAP program (Recruiters Assistance Program) for 12 days, before they head to to their first base. Brandon & Devon are headed to Europe (I low key envy them a bit) and Quintin is headed to Omaha, Nebraska home of the College World Series 😍😍😍. I’m so happy I was able to ship out 3 applicants from South Chicago, go the same career field. They’ve now established bonds they will now have for the rest of their lives.
