They deliver 40 watts through a 5.25 inch woofer and a .8 inch soft dome tweeter. At just 10 pounds and measuring 8.1 inches by 10.4 inches by 9.5 inches, these amps are incredibly portable but nonetheless deliver quality gig-worthy sound. Baggs Anthem Series Differences" . Do you familiar with the differences between the Anthem and SL? First, in the SL model, there is no space on the circuit board or jack to solder a second pickup. On the other hand, the Anthem model's TS output jack does not have an associated circuit board. You can directly solder the Anthem system and a second pickup to another TRS output jack. By doing so, you can create a stereo output with two (essentially three) pickups. This feature is particularly useful if you want to add an additional pickup without drilling another hole in your guitar. Second, in the Anthem SL model, the undersaddle transducer (UST) carries only low frequencies while the mic captures mid and high frequencies. By adjusting the “MIC LEVEL CONTROL”, with the volume of the UST being fixed, you can change the overall brightness or darkness of the tone. In contrast, the Anthem model offers more control options with the "MIX CONTROL," allowing you to achieve both the SL-like tone (UST carries low frequencies, mic carries mid and high frequencies) and a tone solely based on the UST capturing full-range frequencies. The Soundboard Transducer (SBT) pickup is a popular choice among acoustic guitarists, due to its ability to produce a natural tone and capture percussive playing. However, SBT pickups have two main drawbacks. Firstly, they tend to emphasise the midrange and the inherent "woody" tone of the guitar, which can be advantageous for warm and full sound but may result in feedback issues on loud stages. Secondly, the characteristics of the guitar itself have a significant influence on SBT pickups, making the same pickup sound different on different guitars. To address these issues, James May Engineering has developed the Ultra Tonic, a passive pickup that incorporates an internal sensor to cancel feedback without excessively attenuating the midrange. The pickup also features a circuit board with 12 switches, allowing users to experiment with different levels of feedback cancellation by tuning the switches while playing the guitar and connecting it to an audio device. After inspection, we found that the plug enclosure is not made of metal and lacks shielding functionality within the plug area. We covered the unshielded portion with copper foil and connected the copper foil to grounding, eliminating the noise completely!
