Start of the Christmas festivities 🎄🎄 Is it ever too early to start getting into the Christmas spirit? I used to think yes, but since having kids I'm loving all the different experiences on offer in and around Inverness 🎅🎄 First up for us this year was a trip to @simpsonsgarden for their magical grotto ❤️. We absolutely loved this. The kids got to play some Christmas games with Santa's elf. Then they made some reinder food with Mrs Claus. After that it was off to see the big man himself. Santa was fantastic and really engaging with both the kids ❤️. The whole grotto is beautifully decorated and looks amazing and every staff member was friendly and seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. Even with out going to the grotto, just wandering around simpsons will put you in the Christmas spirit. I saw this pot today at @plantpeoplehgc #highlandgardencenter. They had the drippers going for the hanging baskets and I saw this pot sitting there having water run and drip all over it. It made me think about how life is. We stand tall having emotions, knowledge and trauma wash all over us. And like this pot we stand tall. For sure there are days we feel less then tall, maybe not even able to stand but to me I'm trying to remember it's like this water. It'll run all over me but I don't have to absorb it. You don't have to absorb it We allow too many things to penetrate deep within us. We allow things to cross over our boundaries and settle in. Take a deep breathe Close your eyes Now breathe normally Tell yourself I am not going to allow (enter statement here) to penetrate me it's going to wash over me like water.
