There were moments of feeling like we were frozen in time while others just seemed to fly by. We’ve celebrated many firsts. We’ve laughed, and we’ve cried. You’ve brought so much joy into our lives. It has been 2 months since this life changing day where we welcomed Myles into the world. I wasn’t sure if I was going to share this photo but I felt a certain “duty” to tell my story since nothing prepares you for the infertility journey . At this moment, I was 100% confident tears were coming but it wasn’t just the emotions of this moment, it was all the sacrifices of the past 4+ years. Emotional, Physical, Mental and Financial investments were made. At this moment I wasn’t just grateful that we now have a baby, I was grateful for everything @maracaraccioloeubank went through and sacrificed to get here. I’m not even sure if I could list them all but it’s A LOT! Surgeries, lifestyle/diet changes, supplements, Facebook support groups and on and on. And after all that… she had to endure the chaos that is childbirth. At this moment, I was grateful for this strong, fearless and determined woman! The trip on the infertility highway can be lonely but we are thankful for so many that came before us that gave us hope that our time will come. You have no idea how much we leaned on that. Thank you for making the road less lonely. After 3 failed IUIs we finally found Dr. Chang at Hanabusa who had the confidence to tell us, “not if, but when you have a baby” and he was right with success on our first embryo transfer! I found during this journey that men don’t talk much about infertility challenges. There wasn’t a lot of information out there or anything specific I could do but try one or more of the 15+ things that may or may not help me. I know Mara has shared on her account and has been happy to help and give suggestions or insight, I am also available to provide insight, support or anything that may help. If you are struggling, let’s talk and maybe I can do what others did for me.
