April is coming to an end, and there’s so much in this one month to reflect on. Months end, and days go by quick, one thing that does not end is Autism or TSC. As autism acceptance and awareness month comes to an “end”.. it isn’t really ending for me as everyday is awareness and acceptance. With April’s end, May brings us Tuberous Sclerosis awareness month 💙 This month I was able to stop and have conversations with new people from my community and my neighborhood and talk about autism and talk about how I started Sensory Rise Sourdough. It was such a great feeling being asked about my son and our journey. And that’s all it takes, just ask the questions. Educate yourself by asking and accepting. So much happened in what seemed like such a short amount of time. Lots of porch pick ups, new customers, returning customers, lots of sickness happened in my home which led to some seizures for my boy… He also started baseball with a new team full of boys and girls just like him and it was the highlight of our month. He teaches me everyday, though life may knock us down, there’s many blessing right around the corner. We just have to continue to get back up and keep moving forward. One of my favorite advocates and influencers in the Autism community is @peace_love_autism ! Lots of her hard talks, events, advice and just her love for this community has brought me so much hope and love in this special neurodivergent life we’ve created. 💚 If you’ve made it to the end of this post, thank you for taking the time to listen. To everyone who’s supported me on this journey.. thank you for being here!! This space isn’t only for Sourdough and baked goods, it’s for awareness and acceptance and bringing knowledge to others about neurodiversity and finding community in each other. След 51 дни от раждането бебо засука от гърда 😭🥳 Още нямам думи, с които да ви опиша колко съм щастлива, че бебо вече може да се храни изцяло от гърда. 😘🤱 Както знаете прекара 20 дни в кувьоз, след раждането и се наложи хранене със сонда. В болницата ме предупредиха, че тъй като е недоносен е доста слаб и вероятно няма да може да суче от гърда, защото това изисква много повече усилия. 😞 Щом го прибрахме вкъщи се пробвахме, но сученето от гърда се случваше буквално за 2-3мин и се отказваше, заради това се изцеждах и му давах кърмата с шише. Няма да крия, че този метод е голяма хамалогия и изисква много повече усилия и време, но целта понякога оправдава средствата. Щом споделих проблема няколко дами ми писаха да опитам с протектори за зърна. Признавам си, че бях леко скептична това нещо да сработи, но от опит глава не боли. Миналата седмица взех протекторите на @nuk_bulgaria - те са на размери, аз взех S,M и L, защото не знаех кой вариант ще е подходящ. Слагат се доста лесно, като аз използвам S. Щом сложих бебо на гърда той засука с протектора без никакъв проблем! 🥳 Буквално не можах да повярвам. Пробвах след 10мин. сучене да махна протектора, но директно на гърда пак не се получи номерът! Щом сложих пак протектора нямаше никакъв проблем. Забелязах, че ако мина на друг размер протектор на бебо му е пак трудно да суче. Ако вие имате подобен на моя проблем и използвате протектори за зърна се уверете, че са подходящия размер. Защо се спрях на @nuk_bulgaria - ами нещата, които използвам за хранене и кърмене е на бранда - шишета, бибки, стерилизатор и т.н. Marathon #4 State #4!! The hardest marathon for me so far but I managed to get my second best marathon time, 3:35! Here’s my little race recap! I never have trained wearing a watch to tell me my pace well I guess I tried it once but I find it to be too distracting😅They didn’t have a pacer/pace team for my goal time. I was mentally already drained from stressing about the heat and humidity this past week…ask my husband😂 so I decided to give it my all and run with the 3:15 pacer to see how long I could hold on for which I did for the first 12 miles! It was extremely humid for the first half of the race and I slowly had to slow down my pace but then the weather changed drastically around mile 20…started to down pour & thunder! Winds kicked in then & tore half of my bib off which I struggled with trying to put back on while running😅I challenged myself in the beginning & LEARNED so much running this race! I already look forward to marathon #5! C Section Awareness month 🤍 This was a particularly difficult post for me. Having had an emergency C section, with both my children, I felt like I wanted to contribute to this month by sharing what being a C section mum has been like for me. There is so much more I haven’t touched upon yet. The aftermath of a section, recovery process and so so much more. But this is a first step in finally making peace with my delivery of both my children and being able to openly speak about what I went through, to bring my children into this world safely. That is something we all share in common and always will.
