This is one of the projects I’ve spent the last couple months planning with a good PKU friend of mine @jessiespkujourney ! 💙 We both grew up going to the same clinic, and even now still live close together. One of the things we’ve learned throughout our journeys was how invaluable having a support system was. Jessie and I met at a group clinic when we around 12, and have been friends since. We’ve relied on each other for support at many different times in our lives. Since Atlantic Canada doesn’t get a whole lot of attention we decided to host our own PKU event. We’re newbies at event planning so it’ll probably be pretty basic but we’re excited for the opportunity to meet new people, try some delicious new recipes, and just share an afternoon all about PKU! We managed to get a little help from our clinics about spreading the word and hooking us up with a few samples! For purchase, link in bio! PK Unity Child Souvenir Cup and Saucer, Made in Germany #17881 - This is a charming cup and saucer set in German porcelain, made in the 1950’s by PK Unity. It was probably bought as a souvenir of a vacation spent in Old Orchard. The pink and white lustre porcelain is decorated with children forming a multicoloured parade! A little girl in leading, while playing cymbals and the boy following, is playing the horn and pulling a toy soldier riding a wooden horse. Multicolored and so cute ! The cup is inscribed ‘’Old Orchard, Me’’ in gold lettering in the front. The cup is 2 ¼’’ tall and 2 ¼’’ across the top and the saucer is 4 3/8’’. Both pieces are in very good condition, with no chips, no cracks, no repairs. There is a bit of paint loss on the children’s legs.
