Reality vs. Instagram • • Another week of challenging my body and mind done ✅ for once in my life I’ve been going hard and consistent with staying active with no one in my face yelling at me to do so(besides @j.grayfitness big mouth) lol. Keeping my head clear and my body moving🏃🏾♀️ • • With everything that’s been going on, working out has been my escape. A chance to get fresh air, clear my thoughts, and just focus on one thing at a time. Though I’m still low key dying through these workouts, it’s a stress reliever like you wouldn’t believe. Taking off to Hamilton, New Zealand today for the 4th leg of the HSBC Sevens Series. Another first for us after Cape Town. This will be the first time our team will play in this tournament along with some other women’s teams on the circuit so this will definitely be a stop to remember for a lot of important reasons. #TBT to the sport that started it all. Track was my life before I found rugby. It taught me discipline, sacrifice, hard work, the list goes on. From this sport I built a body made for competition, aggression, fight, and speed. I found some of my greatest mentors and bestest friends from the sport. It gave me my X factor. It gave me my foot in the door into the sport of rugby. And without it I wouldn’t be where I am today. With staying present and constantly growing as a player, I always make a point to remember where and what I came from. It gives me meaning and reminds me of my purpose on those not so easy days. #crossoverathlete
