Why will the King of Germany take place at Olszyna Motopark in Poland? Simply because in Germany as in all of Europe it is proving increasingly difficult to find a place worthy of an Ultra4 Europe event. So, in order to have four events in the 2024 racing season instead of three, Jacek Liszkowski from Olszyna Motopark kindly agreed to host us twice. Therefore, enabling us to free resources and focus on planning and setting up a proper Ultra4 Europe event in the fleeting time remaining. Please rest assured, that we are on a constant look out for a proper venue in Germany for us as to bring Ultra4 Europe - King of Germany to Germany soon. In fact, our Race Director Chris Bowler introduced the King of Germany with these words: “Ultra4 Europe King of Germany 2024 may be actually being held in a magnificent venue in Poland, but as an event, it is very much a different approach to our style of racing and will be remembered at King of Germany!! For starters, we have two race courses in 2 venues which will bring a unique quality of team planning and preperation, together with the anticipation of new ground and terrain. A road drive to the first venue on the first day will bring a flavour of distance and appreciation of the local area. Secondly, King of Germany will be a short course style of event with Teams racing in class groups initially over sprint distances, then working up to longer race sessions, testing the car and driver against not just the terrain but also the clock to get the desired lap counts. At the King of Germany, and also valid for the King of Poland, an important innovation is introduced which will broaden the range of those who can participate in these two Ultra4 Europe races. We are talking about the new class of vehicles called “Trophy” which we will present to you in the section dedicated to which vehicles can participate in the race. https://www.kingofgermany.eu/.cm4all/uproc.php/0/Trophy%20Class.pdf?cdp=a&_=18ddfebace6 The aim and purpose of the Trophy Class is to allow drivers and teams the opportunity to enter the wonderful world that is Ultra4 Europe, thus competing at a higher and more international level with vehicles commonly raced in national and internationl trophy and trial events. These vehicles can participate in the Trophy Class for a total of three seasons/years, after which the vehicle will have to evolve to adapt to one of the official Ultra4 classes (4400 Unlimited, 4500 Modified, 4600 Stock or 4800 Legends) thus having the possibility of qualify for King of Hammers. This returning customer who’s already got a full MMF internal roll cage, decided he wanted to preserve bodywork as best as possible whilst competing. Conseguimos alcançar o grandioso 1º Lugar da Classe Legend 🏆🥇, numa das provas que é considerada a mais difícil da especialidade, onde estiveram presentes 82 equipas de 15 nacionalidades. This year at @rallye.breslau I witnessed the first official time of Ultra4 vehicles competing in their own class. In fact, Breslau has been included in the 2023 calendar of the European Championship of @ultra4europe . As I have already had the opportunity to say and write, I find this fact very interesting for many reasons. A new race format for U4E, a marathon event of over 1000 km, new terrains that enrich the teams' experience and that will make the 2023 champion a super champion. On the other hand, this same type of experience has been happening for years in America where it all started and where we see the King of the Hammers champions often participate with their own class in desert races that have little to do with the KOH.
