Jerina pripada lancu planine Čardak. Ovaj prelijepi vidikovac izdiže se na samo nekoliko kilometara iznad Gusinja. Na brdu Jerina nalazila se, po predanju, tvrđava ilirske princeze Jerine. He was jovial, friendly and welcoming, laughing and joking with us in broken English and Albanian, as we sat on some upturned logs and drank coffee and ate white cheese, using the largest of the logs as a table. “It wasn’t just a charisma or a confidence thing. It was something more. It was the piercing eyes from behind orange-tinted glasses, the way he carried himself. “We were high up on a ridge-line, having reached the man’s farm at a dead end. In the valleys below, wooden houses were going up almost everywhere that you could see. Tracks carved through the steep, forested hillside that weren’t on any map that we could find. “Bright red Albanian flags with doubled-headed black eagles peppered our view. I looked down at the log we were using as a table, which had empty rifle cartridges hammered into it for decoration. There were a lot of them. He must have shot a lot of bears over the years. And quite possibly with a machine gun, it would seem.
