Day 9 of #100daysofhalloweenhappy and the theme is Outfit! Idk if this counts, but this is the Halloween costume I wore the most and was most proud of! Back in about 2007 — before bounding as Mary Poppins was cool lol — I decided I wanted an authentic Mary Poppins costume! . My mom is an amazing seamstress — she made all of our costumes when we were kids — so I commissioned her to make me this jacket, skirt, and scarf — y’all, she can literally do anything! . Next I found this amazing hat on eBay that perfectly matched the one worn by @julieandrews! I just added the flowers and the cranberries! . Then I bought a plain black umbrella and created this parrot handle around the existing handle. . I wore this every year from then on! I’m trying to channel my inner Hakuna Matata today! I have been battling ants in our house for what feels like years. I’m about to lose my mind! I get like my grid needed some green! Where better to get it than on Kilimanjaro Safari! This particular time on KS was easily my favorite! It started pouring rain and we decided to run for shelter in the queue — which was a walk on! And then we got to see the safari in the rain! It was so beautiful! One of my goals for 2022 is to make my bed each day. It may seem so simple and unimportant, but somehow it makes it so much fun to go to bed at night! Like I’m staying in a hotel or something. .
