We really enjoyed Epcot the second time because we almost did every ride the first time, and now we could relax and soak everything in 🥰 We also had another dining experience at the Space 220 Restaurant where you get to the Space Centre through the elevator and then have a heavenly lunch. Resort Spotlight – Polynesian! This iconic opening-day resort is one of the top ones I get asked about most frequently from clients. Located on the monorail it has beautiful grounds, fantastic restaurants and one of the best fireworks viewing locations outside of the parks. Pros: - Location: Polynesian is on the monorail line and even has a walking trail to Magic Kingdom. Currently, the walking trail is closed during construction of the new DVC tower but is expected to reopen sometime in late 2024. - Restaurants: This resort has some of the very best dining options of any Disney World property with ‘Ohana, Trader Sam’s and Kona Café. - Dole Whip: In addition to great dining options you can also get Dole Whip here! Need I say more? - Extended Evening Hours: As a Deluxe resort Polynesian qualifies for Extended Evening hours on select dates. - Fireworks: The beach at Polynesian is one of the very best spots to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks outside of Magic Kingdom (and its crowds)! - Sleeps 5: As a family of five this is always an important one to me! The Polynesian standard rooms can sleep five comfortably which is an amazing perk for larger families. Cons: - Price: like the other Deluxe monorail resorts the biggest downside to the resort is the price. There are some incredible perks of staying here but it will cost you! - Construction: There is currently construction going on at the Polynesian. Many guests say their trip is totally unaffected but it is something you should be aware of if you are heading there soon! - Longer walk to Magic Kingdom compared to the similarly priced Contemporary and Grand Floridian resorts. - Recreation: For a Deluxe resort there are not a ton of options in terms of free recreation at this resort compared to some other resorts in this category.
