First, TWO new @dandylionworld products just dropped! There’s now a dark green version of the waffle towel, as well as the brand new Fresh Coat cleansing spray 🫧 We are actually super excited for this since M&M don’t need baths often, and in particular Miel is sensitive about touch so we haven’t been able to bathe him as often as we’d like 🥲 So now we can spray a brush (he’s a little anxious about the spray), brush him a bit (while giving lots of treats) and bam! We got a fresh Miel 😎 Second, we’re continuing to work on our homework for the behavioralist and may have seen a decrease in reactive behavior! It’s actually really hard to tell what’s helping what, but we think the management, communication, and reducing arousal has been helping! We don’t think the medication is working well though, as with the dosage increase Miel seems to be more anxious/nervous. Some examples we’re seeing is more/longer vocalizations when we crate him and leave, or even if I leave with Mocha for a walk and he’s not crated. Also, throughout the day when we’re moving around or doing things, he just seems to give more anxious signals (licking, whale eye) to me at least. We just sent over some thoughts to the behavioralist so haven’t gotten a reply yet, but hopefully we can find the right meds for Miel soon 🤞🏼 As always, thank you all so much for all the love and support when it comes to Miel. I had some friends ask about how the big guy is doing and I’m happy to say I’ve seen some solid improvements. While he is definitely aging and slowing down in ways, last week his back legs were struggling and he had a visible limp. I think that sometimes he tries to keep up with Redding when we’re playing in the yard and he slipped causing a minor injury. In addition to using a plethora of @doctorharveys products, like ortho-flex, their joint chews and Solaris regularly I also have been giving him CBD and picked up doggy aspirin as well. I’m still keeping an eye on him and limiting too much activity but it’s a huge relief to see him improving. It was pretty frightening to see Odin struggling and was close to a vet appointment but I’m glad to say it looks like a few days of TLC and rest seemed to do the trick. Having a senior dog crept up on me and I’m still processing the fact that next year he will be 9 and determined to keep that number climbing far past that. 💪 @doctorharveys has offered me such a peace of mind knowing I’m keeping my dogs as sharp and healthy as possible. Dbając o psychikę Cuki nie bagatelizuje jej problemów, daje jej swoje wsparcie, na którym odbudowałam zaufanie i proponuję rozwiązania, tak aby żyło jej się komfortowo. Wpływ na psychikę Cuki mają też treningi tropienia w których bierzemy udział. To jest pieska, która lubi być czymś zajęta. Świetnym potwierdzeniem tego stwierdzenia była sytuacja, gdy byłyśmy na urodzinach @animalfizjo_tarnow. Cuki uczestniczyła kilka godzin w różnych zajęciach (z przerwami) i była w trybie pracy. Następnego dnia widziałam po niej, że aż ją nosiło i pragnęła coś porobić. Dlatego nawet niewielki trening dziennie musi być "zaliczony", żeby mózg Cuki czuł się nasycony. Do aspektu psychiki zaliczę także zmiany miejsc na spacery, w końcu czytanie tych samych SMS-ków nawet nam by się w końcu znudziło 🤪 oraz długość włosa. Może niektórych tutaj zaskoczę, ale meeega owłosiona pieska to niezbyt szczęśliwa pieska. Po strzyżeniu w głowie i ciele Cuki znów mieszka szczeniak 😁 Połączenie tych wszystkich aspektów, rutyny i dbania o balans między nimi sprawia, że Cuki czuję się i wygląda świetnie. PS. Bardzo Was proszę, nie miejcie mnie za jakiś ideał właściciela, bo też jestem tylko człowiekiem i czasami coś w tym naszym wspólnym żyćku mi nie wyjdzie.
