second time's the charm ;) last weekend Deo and I attended our second ever agility competition and got some amazing results!! we started agility training in September of last year, with Deo knowing only the basics I had taught her at home. 6 months later, on our second comp we got second place in A0 !! so proud of this dog. even though we still have a long way to go, I feel like all our hard work is showing off. a year ago i was working with two jumps and a tunnel, this week we brought our first agility ribbon home🩷. Humbling weekend for Coach and I, but we still had some nice accomplishments. 💖 • L5 Wildcard Q • L5 Jackpot Q • L3 Colors Q/3rd place ✨️And✨️ CL3-H title 🥳 The L3 CPE title is structured much like AKC scent - there's an overall level title, and within that there's 3 games titles and one regualr (standard) title you can earn. The overall title is 22 passes across 7 games, the regular title is 4 passes and only standard, and each games title is 2 games/3 passes each. So we have a lot in progress right now. He's sitting at 16/22 but it's only equaled one title so far. 🤣 Anything you complete the L3 pass requirements for, you can move up to L5 in. L5 is where you compete for your CH title. So he's half and half right now. After this weekend we are taking a break in Agility until May. He has let me know we're running too much, and it's stressing him out. This little dog of mine 💞 ✨AKC National Agility Championship✨ Our first time attending and competing at NAC! Tenor was a dream to run! He took the environment in stride and showed me he really likes running on dirt (like a lot). We had two clean runs in Standard (33rd out of 180 dogs) and Jumpers (74th). Hybrid proved more difficult for us and resulted in faults, but identified some areas to work on! I am so proud of this accomplishment for us and am absolutely thrilled with how Tenor performed. Thank you to all the friends and family that watched and supported us! Coach had such a good weekend at the K9 New England UKI Trials in MA! 🥳 • Saturday he Q'd in Jumpers and won his class for 6 points towards his BIDs title! We also had some middle fingers...win some lose some. 🤣 • Sunday he Q'd in Speedstakes and won 6 his class for 6 points towards his SSBs title! We had NO middle fingers, just some handling errors on my part costing him Qs and that Speedstakes title. I have to say, I was really nervous to enter the UKI ring. The level the dogs are at here is just phenomenal, and I've got a Retriever with zooms. But the atmosphere is just so much more supportive that what I'm used to and this might become my main venue following CPE nats. I didn't have people critiquing my training or telling me what to do, and when he finally got it together for that Jumpers run - I swear the whole building cheered. We've got a few more Trials selected, hope to see everyone there! 💖

Dog sports ⬇️ - I’ve always wanted to try various sports with Boss. Since last week, I got an agility set and we have been working on his (small) jumps which he loves! Sadly, Boss is scared of the agility tunnel. This is something we’re working on and hopefully he accepts it soon! Other sports we have started training are disc (frisbee) and dummy/gundog training. Coach had a great weekend in Nashua, NH at Riverside's games trial! It was just Coach and I this weekend. We have started venturing into new facilities and working on our teamwork/focus, and he's making some great progress with his over-arousal. He had 5 Qs, 2 near misses with good effort, 2 complete zoomie blowoffs, and 1 very humbling games moment that anyone who does CPE/AKC games understands...he went start --> finish obstacle to stop the clock . 🤣🤣 The weekend total: • Colors L3 Q/4th • Jackpot L3 Q/2nd *finished L3 requirements* • FullHouse L3 Q/4th • Snooker L3 Q/1st ✨️ AND ✨️ • Jumpers L5 Q/4th L5 Qs go towards the dogs CH level title. ~ 𝚃𝙴𝙻𝙼𝙰 ~ Klass 2 i Bjuv och @hundfamiljen_jbtt fick idag äran att lotsa runt racerräven 💪🏼 🦊 Tre diskar, med små missar, men inte lätt att ta sig an en hund man aldrig tidigare överhuvudtaget har sprungit med. Dessutom inte en hund som Telma som är så känslig för kroppsspråket, och som läser av en hela tiden. Igår tok jeg alle tre på agility klasse 3 med tidfeil, 2.plass, 3.plass(2vegring+2feil) og 2.plass 🐶 idag tok jeg bare et av tre, 1.plass med tidsfeil og to siste disk🐶 jeg var ufokus i nr 2 løp igår, gjort akkurat samme idag med nr 3 løp ble disk men en disk på nr 2 løp er rent at det er matmor sin skyld 😅 #moanstevnet #levanger #moanidrettspark #agilitytoller

Tää @ireneerlingphotographer kuva on yksi mun lempikuvista. 💗 @agilityliitto pyysi jakamaan ajatuksia omasta matkasta kohti SM-kilpailuja ja nyt on meidän vuoro. Tässä aamulenkillä täytyy todeta, että en olisi vielä pari vuotta sitten uskonut, millainen agilitytiimikaveri Elma on. Elma on mahdollistanut mulle kaiken sen, josta en osannut edes haaveilla. Elma nousi kolmosiin vuosi sitten touko-kesäkuussa ja tämän jälkeen Elma tuplavalioitui kaksivuotiaana sekä keräsi ranking-pisteitä siihen tahtiin, että ohjaaja ei edes oikein käsittänyt, että saimme osallistua ensimmäisiin MJ-karsintoihin. Valitettava ohjaajan loukkaantuminen esti osallistumisen halli SM-kilpailuihin, mutta tällä hetkellä näyttää siltä, että pääsemme starttaamaan ensimmäisissä SM-kilpailuissamme yksilöissä numerolla #316. Kisaamme sunnuntaina myös VAUn medijoukkueessa sekä perjantaina etkoilla. Tulossa siis tiukka rupeama. Päällimmäisenä tunteena tällä hetkellä on kiitollisuus ja ilo siitä, että saamme olla mukana. Eilen oli ohjaajalle erinomaiset viimeistelytreenit, koska viime aikojen huolimattomuus näkyi ohjauksessa alkuun. Saimme kuitenkin palaset loksahtamaan ja onnistuimme tekemään kivoja pätkiä, joista pääsin palkkaamaan Elmaa. Näillä mennään Jyväskylään ja tehdään parhaamme. Aivan mahtavaa päästä kisaamaan Suomen parhaiden kanssa!🔥 Tsemppiä jokaiselle kisassa mukana olevalle koirakolle. Men alla har verkligen tagit emot oss med öppna armar, vi är fortfarande gröna men vi har tagit oss från zero till klass 2 och det är banemig coolt!
