Atic Atac è un videogioco arcade sviluppato e pubblicato da Ultimate Play the Game, pubblicato per ZX Spectrum nel 1983 e BBC Micro nel 1985. Il gioco è stato scritto da Tim Stamper e la sua grafica è stata progettata dal fratello Chris Stamper. Atic Atac ha ricevuto diversi elogi dalla critica al momento del rilascio, soprattutto per la grafica e il gameplay. Il gioco si svolge all'interno di un complesso castello labirintico in cui il giocatore deve cercare tre pezzi della "Chiave d'Oro di ACG", sbloccando porte ed evitando nemici. Si può scegliere fra tre diversi personaggi: un mago, un cavaliere o un servo. Ogni personaggio ha un'arma diversa per uccidere i nemici comuni e l'accesso a un passaggio segreto unico, il che significa che la navigazione nel castello è diversa per ognuno. Ci sono una serie di oggetti sparsi per il castello, di cui il giocatore può trasportarne fino a tre alla volta. Alcuni di questi si trovano sempre nello stesso posto all'inizio del gioco, mentre altri sono distribuiti in modo casuale. Ci sono anche funghi velenosi stazionari che consumano costantemente la salute se il giocatore è in contatto con loro, e nemici che richiedono oggetti speciali per distrarli, respingerli o ucciderli, altrimenti rimangono nella stanza, invulnerabili agli attacchi convenzionali, e prosciugano rapidamente la salute del giocatore se toccati. Il giocatore ha tre vite all'inizio del gioco e, se dovesse morire, una lapide apparirà nella sua posizione e rimarrà sul posto per il resto della partita. La salute può essere ripristinata raccogliendo cibo sparso per il castello. 3D Monster Maze is a survival horror computer game developed from an idea by J.K. Greye and programmed by Malcolm Evans and released in 1982 for the Sinclair ZX81 platform. Rendered using low-resolution character block "graphics", it was one of the first 3D computer games, and one of the first games to incorporate elements typical of the genre that would later be called survival horror. 3D Monster Maze puts the player in a maze with an exit and a hostile monster, the Tyrannosaurus rex. The player must navigate the maze, with a first-person perspective, and escape without being eaten. The dinosaur is initially calm, but as soon as the character starts moving in the game environment, it will start hunting it. If you are spotted, the monster will run directly towards the player to devour him. The T. rex's anxiety level, reported to the player, provides an indirect clue to the player's relative distance from the monster. These statements are: REX IS WAITING, followed by HE IS LOOKING FOR YOU, STEPS ARE APPROACHING, REX HAS SEEN YOU, and RUN HE'S BEHIND YOU or RUN HE'S BEHIND YOU. The player's speed is greater than that of the monster; thus, it is possible to escape by running (unless the player is trapped in a dead end). The player can manually map the maze on a piece of paper at each step, but this becomes increasingly difficult as the pace increases. When the game ends, the player is informed that they are "doomed to wander the maze forever", so they can "appeal" or continue playing the last maze again. If the appeal is attempted, it is rejected with a 50% chance, in which case the player is sent back to wander the previous maze again. Reso utilizzando "grafica" a blocchi di caratteri a bassa risoluzione, è stato uno dei primi giochi 3D per computer e uno dei primi giochi a incorporare elementi tipici del genere che in seguito sarebbe stato definito survival horror. 3D Monster Maze mette il giocatore in un labirinto con un'uscita e un mostro ostile, il Tyrannosaurus rex. Il giocatore deve attraversare il labirinto, con una prospettiva in prima persona, e scappare senza essere mangiato. La velocità del giocatore è maggiore di quella del mostro; quindi, è possibile scappare correndo (a meno che il giocatore non sia intrappolato in un vicolo cieco). Il giocatore può mappare manualmente il labirinto su un pezzo di carta ad ogni passo, ma questo diventa sempre più difficile man mano che il ritmo aumenta. Quando il gioco finisce, il giocatore viene informato di essere "condannato a vagare per il labirinto per sempre", quindi può "fare appello" o continuare a giocare di nuovo nell'ultimo labirinto. Se viene tentato l'appello, viene respinto con una probabilità del 50%, nel qual caso il giocatore viene rimandato a vagare nuovamente nel labirinto precedente. It's fantastic so far. I am loving the story, the puzzles, the fear, and the transitions. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a video game for the Atari 2600 based on the film “Do Not Open the Mail” written by Tobe Hooper and Kim Henkel. The game was released in March 1983 by Wizard Video Games. It was designed and programmed by VSS, a software development company founded by Ed Salvo and several other former Games by Apollo programmers. The player takes on the role of the film's chainsaw-wielding villain, Leatherface, and attempts to kill intruders while avoiding obstacles such as fences, wheelchairs, and cow skulls. The player controls the killer with the aim of stalking and killing the victims. Each victim killed gives the player 1,000 points.
