Caras o tipos ? Algo de lo último en lo que estuve trabajando, hacia un tiempo que no creaba rostros tipográficos.. que no son en esencia difíciles, dos ojos una nariz y una boca salen rápido con los signos adecuados, pero lo más complejo es intentar crearle una personalidad más definida, buscar algún rasgo que los hagan ver creíbles pero con actitud. Impreso a 3 tintas en letterpress sobre papel italiano Fabriano liso de 160g. formato 30 x 42 cm, es una serie corta de 8 impresos tan solo. Me pareció haber visto un lindo zorrito !! Últimas piezas que salieron del taller, experimentando el resultado de las texturas que ofrecen algunas técnicas. Usar el rodillo entintado de manera directa sobre el papel entrega una rugosidad muy expresiva, incluso depende la superficie del papel, aquí usé Fabriano italiano de 160g tanto liso como rugoso. Esas franjas que ves son debido a que usé de base varios papeles superpuestos desfasados, el rodillo copia ese leve relieve que está como cama debajo del papel y deja esa huella, a mi juicio muy interesante. El fuego está hecho con una técnica que usan en las imprentas de offset llamada “estirado”, en donde con la espátula se toma un poco de tinta y se la arrastra contra el papel, como si se afeitara, dejando esa marca estilo patinado. Aquí en tres capas superpuestas de amarillo, naranja y rojo. El personaje (a quien lo veo como un zorro, tal como en una encuesta en mis historias lo definió él público), está construido con tipos móviles de diversas familias, siendo este lenguaje de representación el que más me gusta trabajar, ilustrando dentro de los límites de cada signo. Un desafío constante que me gusta atravesar. Por supuesto también está el indio “Ochoka” ;-) No imprimo solo una pieza, sino varias y eso ofrece siempre diferencias en detalles, así ninguna es idéntica a la otra. De esa producción selecciono una para mí, y las demás serán ofrecidas en un evento del que espero poder formar parte en poco tiempo. Un alphatype fatto con i frammenti delle mie “lettere liberate”, come un mosaico dove ogni tessera è già un pezzo indipendente ma tutto si deforma seguendo il ritmo dinamico della geometria del type. Una sorta di pennellata, dove il tubetto non è fatto di colore ma di lettere indipendenti e libere, seguendo la composizione delle singole lettere.
