Die Charlottenhöhe in Schömberg, benannt nach Königin Charlotte, wurde 1907 als Lungenheilstätte für Tuberkulosekranke errichtet. Unter der Leitung von Dr. Erwin Dorn wurden neben medizinischer Behandlung auch Arbeitsheilstätten eingeführt, um Patienten langfristig zu unterstützen. Nach verschiedenen Transformationen und Besitzerwechseln wurde die Einrichtung 1973 als Sanatorium geschlossen. In den folgenden Jahren wurde sie für Umschulungslehrgänge genutzt, dann als Kurzzeitpflegeheim und später für Ayurveda-Klinik-Pläne. 2007 und 2009 wechselte die Eigentümerschaft erneut, bis 2021 die Zwangsversteigerung anstand. I had seen Dingaan fight before, but I'll never forget his fight with Felipe Orozco in 1990. Orozco had lost a split decision against Brian Mitchell the year before and was awkward, cagey, and could really box. Dingaan was behind on points and needed a knockout going into the 10th and final round... He knew that and pulled it off by stopping Orozco to get the win. You couldn't help but love "The Rose of Soweto," who, in my opinion, was one of the greatest African fighters of all time. I'm still stunned upon hearing the news and truly heartbroken to know that one of my all-time South African heroes is no longer with us. While his soul has gone, the petals of "The Rose" will live in South African boxing history and my heart forever. Les cannes, les lunettes de vue, comment ils font pour pas se rendre compte qu'ils oublient un truc quand même vitale comme ça. On retrouve de tout en caisse mais c'est juste tellement étrange parfois. A nice big liquid ring vacuum pump, and a couple of smaller liquid ring pumps to keep it company. This one sits forgotten and unused in an old paper mill. Vacuum is used in process for a number or reasons, including to lower the boiling points of liquids, create pressure differences in systems to allow liquids to be transferred from higher pressure areas to lower pressure areas or to remove all atmosphere from a process to prevent fire or explosion. How does a liquid ring vacuum pump work? The seal liquid forms the ring inside a pump body as the impeller spins creating small chambers for gas to be trapped. The axis of the rotor is eccentric from the body allowing the liquid to almost fill, and then almost empty each rotor chamber during a single revolution, forming the compression of the gas for the pumping action. Vacuum inlet and atmospheric discharge ports provide flow paths for the gas mixture being handled. The heat of compression of the gas is dissipated into the seal liquid, and some of the liquid flows out to discharge. The exhaust gas and residual water discharge is separated from the gas stream and directed to the house exhaust and returned to the pump respectively. Seal fluid is replaced by a constant flow of cooler seal fluid. DEVOZIONE ED OSPITALITA' (CHIESA DI S.S.) - CHIESA/CONVITTO - EMILIA ROMAGNA. Parte 3 (Convitto). All'apice di una piccola altura si trova questo complesso abbandonato composto da una pieve romanica a pianta rettangolare risalente al XI secolo con addossata una canonica che era utilizzata come convitto religioso. L'interno della chiesa ha una tintura giallastra e versa in condizioni di evidente degrado, tanto che sulla navata laterale si può notare un segno di cedimento del controsoffitto. L'intera pieve come si può ben vedere dalle foto è stata riempita di mobili e cianfrusaglie che un tempo erano all'interno della canonica tra cui molte reti dei letti accatastate alla destra dell'altare principale. Di notevole interesse è il soffitto a volte affrescato sopra il presbitero. Ci spostiamo nella struttura annessa passando dalla sagrestia e scendendo ai piani bassi trovo un garage, una cucina e due sale da pranzo dove un tempo consumavano pasti e trovavano svago coloro che popolavano questo luogo oggi totalmente deserto. Salgo le scale ed arrivo al secondo piano, utilizzato interamente come dormitorio, come si può notare dal susseguirsi di stanze piene di letti a castello. Contando le reti e i materassi presenti per la struttura si può affermare che questa vera a propria comunità religiosa poteva ospitare tranquillamente una trentina di persone. Non si conosce la causa dell'abbandono di questo complesso, tuttavia si può ipotizzare che sia avvenuto per la centralizzazione dei luoghi sacri nelle grandi città a discapito di quelli delle zone più remote che vengono lasciati spesso al loro destino.
