J'ai écrit le texte qui accompagne la nouvelle exposition d'@elodie.boutry , intitulée (+/-) Ça fait aujourd'hui 10 ans que j'assiste Élodie sur des projets d'installations picutrales in situ [@lart_dans_les_chapelles en 2014, puis Pile Pont à @saintgervaismontblanc , @centredart_les3cha , la galerie Le Faouëdic @villelorient , Evreux, Draguignan, ...), je trouve donc juste de faire un petit post pour l'occasion ! Écrire (enfin) un texte sur son travail, c'est comme un hommage à cette relation de travail et d'amitié qui s'est construite au gré des lieux, des défis techniques et des variations esthétiques. Et puis c'est une manière de témoigner de l'intérieur, au corps à corps avec un processus de création qui est le sien, qui nourrit nombre de rencontres et questionnements. Cette ambiance singulière à @villedetreguier, ses habitant.e.s et élu.e.s chaleureux.ses et si accueillant.e.s, ont été propices. Nicole Bachmann’s first institutional solo show in the UK opens this week at the Mead Gallery, Warwick Arts Centre. The opening event is on Thursday 2 May 6-8pm, with performances at 6:30pm. ‘there are tides in the body’ makes use of the vast space at the Mead Gallery with a dual screen audio visual installation. The performance, filmed in two locations in the UK, is the culmination of Bachmann’s efforts to locate the body as an agent of social and political change. Bachmann questions how we can continue to flow and exist under such limiting and policed circumstances, and within continuously degrading environmental conditions. Nicole Bachmann will be in conversation with Francis Offman for an ‘Artist to Artist’ talk at the Mead Gallery on Wednesday 19 June, 6:30pm. Die ersten drei Abbildungen : Ausschnitte der Videoarbeit "Inventar/Inventur" des Künstlers Arnold Dreyblatt. In dieser Installation schreiben sich die Bezeichnungen der Dinge, die von den Nazis in der Villa Hohenfels aus dem Besitz des Textilindustriellen Bernhard Altmann beschlagnahmt und versteigert wurden, fort. Als Grundlage dient die Versteigerungsliste der Nazis. Letzte Abbildung : ein Oberteil aus der Produktion Altmanns, das Arnold Dreyblatt auf ebay entdeckt hat. Am 12.5. um 15 Uhr findet ein Gespräch mit Arnold Dreyblatt und dem Kunsthistoriker Thomas Fechner-Smarsly statt. Unsere Ausstellung mit zwei Installationen des Künstlers Arnold Dreyblatt ist heute von 14-18 Uhr geöffnet. Sa biographie, telle qu’il avait souhaité qu’elle soit présentée, tenait en une demi-page. Il y mentionnait sa naissance en 1935 à Gallargues-le-Montueux (Gard), quinze ans de « petites études » entre 1942 et 1957, trois ans en Algérie, son mariage, puis, sans autre précision, sa présence à la 5° Biennale de Paris en 1967 et « 1968 : Paris et les débats du moment ».
