I really appreciate it when families are vulnerable with me and share their story. It’s a brave and beautiful thing. I took this image to honor their first baby (in the frame), who they heartbreakingly lost after a 20 week pregnancy. Having this Mama and her second baby, rainbow baby, included in the image shows the wonder and beauty of life. I am so glad they were able to mourn and heal and try again. They’re such a wonderful family and it was an honor for me to visually tell their story. ❤️ #alisonnicolephotography

Nard-Dog is getting a haircut today and although yes, I suppose he needs it to see despite our eye trim attempts, I just love his hair long and shaggy. I had to document it before he was completely transformed—and trust me it is a transformation! I’ll add a video in my stories of one of his previous before and afters. One of the things I miss quite a lot from North Carolina is our church and the Art + Faith small group I was in (shoutout @storyhillchurchnc )… well it wasn’t always that small, but that’s because God created us to CREATE! I have been wanting to go through this book I’m holding here - The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron - for some time. Now I’m not always the best at reading books like this on my own so I’m seeking out other people, artists or not, Christian or not, in the Cleveland area. This is an in-camera double exposure. I really love how it turned out, sometimes it’s hard to know what you’re really going to get.
