I try to commit to a little too much, after all didn’t Jesus die for us? That’s the least I could do, right? Well let me tell you, it usually doesn’t go as planned. Then I end up feeling horrible about it. This year attainability is going to be key. Sometimes small meaningful sacrifices throughout our day make up for a greater Lenten season. Whatever you fast from or sacrifice you do, do it with love and prayer. High School Youth Group is every Wednesday: • This week we spoke about the Holy Spirit and the Fruits 🍎🍇 and Gifts🎁 and that at baptism, we were freely given the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, and we did not have to do anything to earn them. The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. These gifts belong to Jesus, but through His generous love for us, Jesus shares these gifts with us at our baptism, and they are sealed and strengthened at our confirmation. These gifts help us live virtuous and moral lives and are meant to transform our lives for the better by bringing us closer to the Holy Spirit. • We challenge you to ask yourself these three questions about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. 🕊🔥 • What are the fruits I have • What are the fruits I see in others • Which are the fruits I desire Take some time, pray and journal about and ask that the Holy Spirit guide your life. Lunch Break? 🥗 Have an hour lunch? Ditch the feed and say your rosary. Reciting the rosary takes roughly about 20 min. You’ll even have time to spare. 😉 4. Taking a walk. You can take a walk alone or accompanied and get your steps in while you recite Our Blessed Mother’s Rosary 📿💕 It’s hard at times. There is school, soccer practice, work, projects, laundry and before you know it the day is gone. I make sure to carry my rosary with me always and a little cheat sheet on how to pray the rosary, that way those are not excuses.
