Carlo Acutis nació el 3 de mayo de 1991 en Londres (Inglaterra) donde trabajaban sus padres, Andrea Acutis y Antonia Salzano. Algunos meses después, la familia se mudó a Milán (Italia). Carlo era un niño alegre que amaba los videojuegos, la programación y los deportes de campo abierto. Desde muy pequeño mostró un especial amor a Dios, aunque sus padres no eran devotos. Su madre decía que antes de Carlo solo fue a Misa en su Primera Comunión, Confirmación y Matrimonio. Carlo también amaba rezar el Rosario. Tras su Primera Comunión, iba a Misa con frecuencia y se quedaba rezando la Hora Santa. Además, se confesaba una vez a la semana. También, le pedía a sus padres que lo llevaran en peregrinación a los lugares de los santos y a los sitios de los milagros eucarísticos. Su testimonio de fe llevó a su madre a una profunda conversión, pues logró acercarla a ella y su familia a la Misa diaria. “La Eucaristía es mi autopista al Cielo”, dijo él. Solía defender a sus compañeros de colegio que sufrían bullying, sobre todo los niños con discapacidad. Cuando los padres de su amigo se estaban divorciando, él lo llevó a su casa a compartir la vida familiar. Diseñó un sitio web para dar a conocer los milagros eucarísticos. “Mientras más frecuente sea nuestra recepción de la Eucaristía, más seremos como Jesús. Y en esta tierra podremos pregustar el Cielo”, dijo Carlo. A Carlo le diagnosticaron leucemia siendo adolescente y decidió ofrecer sus sufrimientos “por el Señor, el Papa y la Iglesia”. Murió el 12 de octubre de 2006, día de la Virgen del Pilar. Fue sepultado en Asís a pedido suyo, por el gran amor que le tenía a San Francisco. Fue beatificado el 10 de octubre de 2020. Every May 3, in many places around the world, the “Feast of the Crosses” or “the day of the May Cross” is commemorated, a Catholic tradition in which the faithful honor and venerate the Holy Cross by placing floral arrangements and “wearing "(adorning) the Cross. The 'Invention' of the Holy Cross. In the Roman rite this festival is called 'Invention of the Holy Cross', in allusion to the discovery of the tree on which Christ was crucified. The word 'invention' is the translation of the Latin term 'invenio', whose meaning is 'discovery'. That is precisely what is celebrated: the discovery of the cross of Christ by Saint Helena (c.250-330), which occurred on May 3, 366. "With this sign you will win" According to an ancient story, in the 4th century, the still pagan emperor Constantine (son of Saint Helena) had to fight a battle against Maxentius, with whom he disputed total power over the Empire. The night before the fight, Constantine had a dream in which he saw a luminous Cross in the air and heard a voice that told him: "With this sign you will win." The next day, before starting the battle, Constantine ordered Crosses to be placed on the banners of his battalions, and exclaimed: "I trust in Christ in whom my mother Elena believes." That day, the victory was overwhelming and Constantine won the right to be the only emperor. Nascida em 1961, Sandra desde cedo demonstrou uma profunda espiritualidade, mantendo um diário onde registrava seus pensamentos inspirados pelo amor de Deus. Sua dedicação à caridade começou cedo, participando ativamente em programas de ajuda a deficientes e na assistência a dependentes químicos durante seus estudos na Universidade de Bolonha, onde iniciou sua jornada rumo à medicina, almejando ser um instrumento do amor divino para os menos favorecidos. Seu compromisso com a fé e o serviço a Deus a levou a integrar a Comunidade Papa João XXIII, fundada pelo servo de Deus Oreste Benzi, onde sua paixão pela medicina se uniu ao seu desejo de ajudar os necessitados. Sandra sonhava em compartilhar sua vida com Guido Rossi, seu noivo, planejando casar, formar uma família e realizar missões médicas na África. No entanto, em um trágico acidente em 1984, aos 22 anos, enquanto se dirigia a uma reunião da comunidade, Sandra foi atropelada e faleceu, deixando um legado de amor e serviço. Sua vida simples, mas marcada por uma profunda entrega ao próximo e à sua fé, foi reconhecida pelo Papa Francisco, que em 2018 aprovou o decreto das suas virtudes heroicas. Em outubro de 2021, ocorreu a emocionante cerimônia de beatificação, onde uma relíquia da beata, um pedaço de cabelo guardado por seu noivo em uma caixinha de bombons decorada por Sandra, foi levada em procissão, simbolizando seu amor e intercessão pelos fiéis. Sandra Sabattini é lembrada como um exemplo de santidade no cotidiano, cuja vida foi pautada pelo serviço aos mais necessitados e pela busca constante do bem dos outros. Beato Carlo Acutis, conocido como el "Ciberapóstol de la Eucaristía", habría cumplido 33 años. Carlo Acutis nació el 3 de mayo de 1991 en Londres (Inglaterra) donde trabajaban sus padres, Andrea Acutis y Antonia Salzano. Algunos meses después, la familia se mudó a Milán (Italia). Carlo era un niño alegre que amaba los videojuegos, la programación y los deportes de campo abierto. Desde muy pequeño mostró un especial amor a Dios, aunque sus padres no eran devotos. Su madre decía que antes de Carlo solo fue a Misa en su Primera Comunión, Confirmación y Matrimonio. Carlo también amaba rezar el Rosario. Tras su Primera Comunión, iba a Misa con frecuencia y se quedaba rezando la Hora Santa. Además, se confesaba una vez a la semana. También, le pedía a sus padres que lo llevaran en peregrinación a los lugares de los santos y a los sitios de los milagros eucarísticos. Su testimonio de fe llevó a su madre a una profunda conversión, pues logró acercarla a ella y su familia a la Misa diaria. "La Eucaristía es mi autopista al Cielo", dijo él. Solía defender a sus compañeros de colegio que sufrían bullying, sobre todo los niños con discapacidad. Cuando los padres de su amigo se estaban divorciando, él lo llevó a su casa a compartir la vida familiar. Diseñó un sitio web para dar a conocer los milagros eucarísticos. “Mientras más frecuente sea nuestra recepción de la Eucaristía, más seremos como Jesús. Y en esta tierra podremos pregustar el Cielo”, dijo Carlo. A Carlo le diagnosticaron leucemia siendo adolescente y decidió ofrecer sus sufrimientos “por el Señor, el Papa y la Iglesia”. Murió el 12 de octubre de 2006, día de la Virgen del Pilar. Fue sepultado en Asís a pedido suyo, por el gran amor que le tenía a San Francisco. Fue beatificado el 10 de octubre de 2020. Madame Élisabeth, fille de France, sister of Louis XVI, Louis XVIII, Charles X, and Marie Clotilde, was born on 3 May 1764, 260 years ago. She is known for her piety, charity, and strength in the face of the French Revolution. Élisabeth de France was born at the Palace of Versailles as the youngest daughter of the Dauphin Louis and the Dauphine, Marie Josèphe of Saxony. Orphaned at the age of three, she received an excellent education, overseen by Madame de Marsan, with her sister Marie Clotilde, whom she was close to. She demonstrated talent for maths and science and was also good at embroidery and drawing. From an early age she displayed an ambiguous personality, combining devotion with eccentricity and dissipation, sometimes signing her letter ‘Mad Élisabeth’. She developed a strong attachment to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, whom she would stay loyal to until the end of her life, refusing to marry to accompany the King. This portrait of Madame Élisabeth was painted by Joseph Ducreux in 1768.

On May 1st, Ireland Needs Fátima joined in a beautiful procession in honour of Our Lady of Fátima. The procession went from Our Lady of Lourdes Church to St. Peter's Church in Drogheda. Over a hundred people participated. Between the decades of the rosary, volunteers from Ireland Needs Fatima played hymns on their bagpipes. Today, May 3rd, the Church celebrates the Feast of Philip and James, apostles ✝️ James was the son of Alphaeus, and it is believed that he could be the cousin of Jesus. To differentiate him from James, brother of John, he is called “the Lesser”. Philip is the protagonist of today's Gospel, in which he asks Jesus to show them the Father. Jesus answers him: “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?”. Philip, finally, learns to see the Father, and to be certain that the Father is in Jesus and Jesus is in Him.
