2023 was a year filled with huge challenges and amazing moments. From completing a Masters degree to visiting Abbey Road Studios, I am shellshocked by the outcome of how much music means to me and grateful for every bit of this journey. I can’t believe that I graduated yesterday!! I had amazing 3 years at BIMM and went through so many phases as an artist. 🎓✨ - First year when there was COVID, I lost my creativity and couldn’t perform with other musicians which was probably the hardest year. - Second year was really fun to be back in the building and build friendships and explore more with other creatives. - In my third year I really focused on myself as an artist, found amazing people to collaborate with and started recording originals and having live gigs! From the last 3 years I’ve learned that if you’re disciplined and focused on your music, the right people will find you and would love to collaborate with you. However to find them you have to face loads of rejections, unfinished projects and many rehearsing or writing hours. The most important thing from now on is to never stop, be consistent and keep on going. I’m sure that if we’re consistent we’ll definitely succeed but you should enjoy the process before this success! I want to thank my family for always supporting me to follow my dream to become an artist. Class of 2023 🥳 I’m SO proud of you all - some of us moved across the continent during a pandemic and if that was not enough, add Brexit + WW3. If overcoming these, getting a music degree in a time when most people struggled to just survive don’t prove our passion, ambition and resilience, then I don’t know what will. Zoom classes in different time zones, singing in fish tanks, one-way systems, livestreams and putting our own hybrid events, hanging out in parks in the winter just so we can get to know each other, “speed dating” in spoons, you name it, we did it. Can’t thank enough the brilliant lecturers from all courses, even the ones we only had for a year and taught us everything, then went on to do greater things, festivals and tours around the globe 🫶🏼 we defff did learn from the best. To the BIMM team and staff who I got to annoy daily whilst basically living in the building for the past 2 years, you’re all legends and I couldn’t have gotten here without your patience (you know who you are 😂). To all my hoomans who helped me in performances, rehearsals, my songwriting marathons, survived 6am messages during assessments time, or just came for a hug in the cafe and became my support system - love you and thank you. To my besties spread across Europe right now and who couldn’t be here - thanks for always pushing me ❤️ I’m feeling really grateful and lucky that I now get to work with artists I looked up to since I was a teen, so “may all your delulu come trululu” if you also put in the time and believe in yourselves ✨ now onto greater things.
