Just realized I left you guys hanging after the removal of the motor/trans. Well, the tone wheel blew apart and actually put a hole in the oil pan. There is no visual damage to anything else, which is a plus. Benny’s Turbocharged Civic initially came in for a misfire diagnose and custom downpipe. Misfires were due to low engine compression result of cracked cast pistons which lead us to rebuilding his long block with more power in mind. The build consisted of forged Eagle rods, CP pistons, ACL race oil pump, king race bearings, ARP head studs and upgrading the cylinder head to a Z6 with BC valvetrain. Redone the turbo kit with a top mount manifold with a T3 turbo, custom downpipe to full exhaust, custom charge pipes and dump tube. Tuned by Alex at @xyr_tuned making over 300hp. After a long time waiting the SR20DET head is complete by Nate Gerolamy. 🤩🥳 The head was cleaned multiple times, freeze plugs replaced, and the oil galleys had to be drilled, cleaned, then tapped & plugged up. The valvetrain is all from Brian Crower @runbc including +1mm valves, springs, titanium retainers, valve keepers, bronze guides, and valve stem seals.
