This is Dungeness in Kent, we visited when we stayed nearby and weโve never been anywhere like it before. Itโs referred to as Britainโs only desert and is the most unique place. It has old train carriages converted into buildings dotted around the shingle landscape, boat wrecks and two light houses. There is a pub and a cafe and the shingle beach is dog friendly year round. At the end of it all is a power station. Itโs as quirky and interesting as it sounds and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Donโt mind me, just โdog watchingโ in the park ๐ I love silently admiring the relationships I spot with dogs and their owners, and also unpicking any issues I notice. The one issue I see far too often, is dog reactivity. Whether itโs overexcitement or anxious warning signals, itโs alarming to see so many owners ignoring their dogs attempts at asking for space. Please glance down at your dog periodically on your walks, is his neck stiff or loose, is his tail frantic or tucked, is he ahead of you and engaging with his environment, does he check in regularly? We spent the last day of our holiday exploring the furthest point we possibly could.. the famous lands end ๐๐ผ We walked from sennen cove and I highly recommend that over parking at lands end car park.. those coastal path views are something else ๐ Canโt believe our time as #caninecritics is over! One year ago today the three of us decided to make our forever family official (Alba was at home absolutely KOd after a week of running and climbing on the beach at 7am every day ๐). It's been a year of highs and lows but we made it through the same way we always do- with lots of love and Abby cuddles. I'm still so grateful to @caninecottages for the adventures we had as #caninecritics - Alba's first holiday, Abby's first fish and chips - and for helping us find a wedding venue for the big day next month where our girls can be right at the heart of the celebrations.
