Red Dress Day: Honours the memories of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls across Canada. Métis artist Jaime Black helped inspire the red dress movement, where red dresses are hung from windows and trees to represent the pain and loss felt by loved ones and survivors. History: Originally starting as the REDdress art installation, Red Dress Day became a grassroots movement across Canada. The project was made up of 600 community-donated red dresses, which were later placed in public spaces throughout Winnipeg and across Canada. The artist chose the colour red after speaking with an Indigenous friend who told her that is the only colour spirits can see. Red dresses are used to call the spirits of missing and murdered women and girls back to their loved ones. The goal was to speak to the gendered and racialized nature of violent crimes against Indigenous women and to evoke a presence by marking absence. 🫶🏻Yesterday was something special, ‼️I got to preach infront of hundreds of students the Goodnews (hundreds respond to the Gospel) and share parts of my testimony I have never shared before inside a men’s prison where hundreds gathered into a small room and overflowing outside the windows and areas around the little chapel. 🔥You could feel at both these locations the tangible power of God falling and moving through the crowds! Tears 😭 flowed all day! 💨The Men’s Prison - this I will never forget - The Goodnews cuts through any wall, chain or blockage to redeem and restore what was lost or stolen! 🌊Jesus is life - He came not to condemn men but to save them! 😭😭😭 YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP!😱 JESUS HEALS!!! 🙌🏻🙏🏻🔥❤️We have seen so many powerful and radical healings in El Salvador 🇸🇻 over 2 days and this one blew my mind. I seen it with my own eyes how this young men’s left leg grew out. One was shorter then other by about 6-8 inches. As I was praying for people in the crowd. This young man grabbed my shoulder and asked me to pray for him, he was crying so hard and when he pointed at his left leg, I started weeping and I dropped to my knees, grabbed his legs and started crying out to God to heal him. While I was holding his legs, the left leg literally grew out and he was standing perfectly flat on two of his feet 😭😱 The Glory and Power of God hit me at that moment so hard, that when I started getting up, I almost fell out. While catching my self not to fall 😆 I waved my hands and all the people that were near me all fell out and were slain in the spirit under the power of the living God. My bones were on fire 🔥 for the rest of that night. So many more miracles happened that night. God is soo good! 🙌 Yesterday was unexpectedly beautiful and special! God brought me back to my YWAM roots (Youth with a Mission; the organisation I grew up in) Shoutout to kuya @dustin.campbell for inviting me to come see the Ywam base in Orlando📍FL, 🇺🇸. Little did I know, it just soo happened to be during a World Legacy Tour of Darlene Cunningham commemorating her late husband Loren Cunningham, the founder & father of YWAM globally. The little ywam-girl in my heart came to life the moment I drove into the breathtakingly huge base with its camping vibes and hammocks nestled between trees. Between some ceremonies I got to meet Darlene and thank & honour her from my heart for the beautiful legacy I got to grow up in and now become a fruit of. Though I’m not currently with YWAM, this was such a special, heartwarming moment reminding me of where I come from and the kingdom-culture I continue to carry in me. AMUSE vs MUSE: we need more muse than amuse today! Amusement is not thinking! To muse means to think or meditate! David said, “While I mused (or thought) the fire burned.” There is a Latin prefix “Ah” when attached to a word that causes it to have a negative meaning. To muse it to think; Amusement is not to think. Amorral is without love or morals. Asocial is without social graces or without social skills. There’s a whole lot of amusement in our world today. There is no room for any mixture in the Church! We don’t need drag queens, we don’t need gimmicks, we don’t need shows, we just need the power of God and His Word! Buying into lie that the Church needs to be attractional has to die. Jesus said “If I be lifted up, I will draw ALL MEN to Myself!” We need a revival of holiness, we need a powerful demonstration of His power. Miracles, signs and wonders. A Dinamite da Palavra de Deus 🥖Escritura para Hoje Lucas 4:21-22 🔥Poder Diário! O Evangelho do Senhor Jesus Cristo em nossos lábios produzirá o efeito de uma dinamite espiritual. O que Jesus pregou? Ele falou sobre Si mesmo. No caminho de Emaús, caminhando com Cleopas e um amigo, Ele “expunha-lhes o que a seu respeito constava em todas as Escrituras”. Por exemplo, depois que saiu de Nazaré e começou Seu maravilhoso ministério, o evangelho de Lucas nos diz que Jesus voltou um dia e entrou na sinagoga e foi convidado a ler as Escrituras. A mensagem do Evangelho era encontrada no Antigo Testamento — na verdade, o Antigo Testamento está repleto do Evangelho! Lucas nos diz que Jesus leu Isaías 61: O Espírito do Senhor Deus está sobre mim, porque o Senhor me ungiu para pregar boas-novas aos quebrantados, enviou-me a curar os quebrantados de coração, a proclamar libertação aos cativos e a pôr em liberdade os algemados; a apregoar o ano aceitável do Senhor... (vv. 1-2) Sem dúvida, muitos na sinagoga conheciam essa passagem de cor. Depois de lido, o rolo das Escrituras foi devolvido. O líder da sinagoga pegou o rolo com muita reverência, beijou-o, e tornou a guardá-lo, para ser esquecido até a próxima semana. Mas de repente aquele pergaminho pareceu tornar-se uma dinamite: a Palavra nos lábios de Jesus produziu o efeito correto — ela despertou a congregação sonolenta! Jesus mostrou-lhes que aquela mensagem era sobre Si mesmo. “Hoje”, anunciou Ele com ousadia, “se cumpriu a Escritura que acabais de ouvir”. Assim, Ele declarou ser o Ungido, o Cristo, Aquele que poderia realizar todas essas façanhas prometidas. Proclame libertação! Não pregue para impressionar, para exibir-se em um púlpito ou para entreter, encantar ou assustar as pessoas. Também não pregue com a intenção de tranquilizar alguém. Você pode ter motivos diversos para pregar, mas Jesus simplesmente anunciou liberdade. Naquele dia na sinagoga, Ele proclamou que o Jubileu havia chegado.
