I am still in shock and relief that I don’t have to have a 3rd open-heart surgery. I still have to technically have heart surgery but I’m a candidate for what is called the trans-catheter procedure. My pulmonary valve will be replaced through a vein in my upper leg. It’s an overnight stay at the hospital and 3 months on medication. The recovery is way quicker and it’s way less trauma on my body! The crazy thing is, my doctor informed me that the procedure will actually be easier since I’ve already had a valve replacement before. The artificial valve that I currently have makes it easier to put another one in. What seemed like such a burden in the moment is actually making an easier way for me now. I think there’s a sermon in there somewhere… As pleased and thankful as I am, I know that if I had to have another open heart, we would’ve walked through it with joy and gratitude as well. Whatever makes me well is a good thing. I am super glad, however, this will get me feeling better sooner. In the recent Arethas Communion Service, we witnessed a glorious display of God's power. From the outset, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation as we gathered to experience the manifold blessings of God. We had a beautiful worship session that felt as though the very heavens leaned in to hear our songs of adoration. The testimonies shared during the program were nothing short of remarkable. We rejoiced with a sister whose long-awaited graduation moment was finally realized after the prophet's intervention. After 5 years of defending her project and not being able to convocate, her name was miraculously moved from the error list to the convocation list with the powerful utterance of the Prophet. Her story reminded us of the power of prophetic utterances and the faithfulness of God to confirm the words of His servants. Another testimony that stirred our hearts was the account of a sister whose faith defied the grip of death itself. With unwavering conviction, she spoke life over her sister who had passed away during childbirth. Like the brave women of old, who, with unwavering faith, received back their loved ones from the grip of death, so too did our sister miraculously receive her sister back to life, a living testament to the power of prayer and the boundless love of our Savior. (2021) The reason I believe Jesus is still healing today is because I’ve experienced His healing multiple times! I used to think people falling over or being pulled from crowds for prayer was staged…until it happened to me! A man of God, who knew nothing about me, called out specific health issues I had been facing and prayed over me. What’s more, he even mentioned the areas of the body that had been affected. That night, I was healed! When I went in for my scheduled surgery, I told the doctor I didn’t think it would be necessary because Jesus had healed me the night before. They confirmed my healing—no surgery needed! That was three years ago, and I’ve been healthy ever since. When I shared my testimony with my doctor, sparks of faith reignited within her, as she had been away from the church for a long time. That night not only increased my faith, but it showed me that revival was not staged—the Holy Spirit truly is moving in inexplicable ways! This is why it is said, ‘Just one touch,’ because all it takes is that one touch from the supernatural power of Jesus combined with faith, and you too will come to believe!
