𝐌 𝐎 𝐑 𝐎 𝐂 𝐂 𝐎 🇲🇦 DAY 2: “Desert time” 📍Location: Agafay Desert 🏡Hotel: Riad Nouhal 🚙Transportation: Minivan 👫Travel buddy: @nancyprins After a broken night, Nancy came up with the genius idea at breakfast to - instead of wandering around the city in 30 degrees - get a day pass at a nearby all-inclusive hotel, so we could chill by the pool today. We chose Jaal, which was only 3.5 km away, a short taxi ride for 50 dirhams (€5). The hotel was huge and mega luxurious! The pool was a bit cooler though... not heated, so most guests were only paddling a bit. I of course jumped in with full enthusiasm... I didn't know how fast I had to swim back to the other side 😂 Furthermore, we spent a lot of time lying on a bed in the shade, chilling with a delicious lunch buffet in between. For the evening, we booked a dinner show in the Agafay desert through a local tourist office (run by women!) just around the corner from our Riad. We were picked up around 5 pm, or earlier if you wanted to ride on quads or camels, but the latter we found pathetic and the former I felt too sick for unfortunately. We still saw the camels and dromedaries before dinner 🐪🐫 The food was delicious and the show was great! The evening entertainment was a mix of Thailand-a-like fire shows and Moroccan music with dancing. On the way back to Marrakech we had a huge laugh, 1 of the other guests on our bus was too drunk to get his belt on 😂 Took about 10 minutes to do it, lol — ©2024 (March)

De lekkere traditionele maaltijden, Berbermuziek en het uitzicht op de bergen doen je de drukte van de stad al snel vergeten. Relax! Our accommodation at Namib Outpost @ondililodges_namibia in the Namib desert was a bittersweet experience. The lodge and room was very tastefully decorated but we soon discovered that the aircon in our room could not cool down the very high desert temperatures. During our 3 night stay, the water from taps and shower was always boiling hot, luckily we had an outdoor shower that helped cools us down for a few minutes post shower, due to the hot desert breeze constantly blowing. The food was also quite mediocre considering the elevated rates we paid. If you are considering staying here, take my advice, stay elsewhere, there are plenty of lodges in the area that will surely meet your needs without breaking the bank. Я точно знаю, что теперь хочу пожить в более теплом климате, где люди приветливей и открытее, где ищут приключений и живут полной жизнью! С одной стороны, работа 5/7 дает тебе стабильность и уверенность в завтрашнем дне, но нужна ли эта уверенность, если ты всю жизнь проведешь работая? Жизнь она здесь и сейчас и я ощущаю ее только путешествуя, может у кого-то всё происходит иначе, и у него получается ловить баланс работа/отдых, но я похоже человек крайностей. Работая, я отдаюсь полностью своему делу, даже в путешествиях в первые дни я часто думаю о работе и только потом начинаю дышать свободно! С каждым разом, тяга к свободе становится все более соблазнительной и кто знает, к чему она приведет меня через некоторое время… 🤍 А фото из замечательного кемпинга на территории фермы, которой управляют уже несколько лет. А кемпинг, кстати, стоил всего 28 евро 👌🏻
