Fri 23rd April A visit to The Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre. We had visited here about 19 years ago when it was still an operating Gold Mine. The mine accident which occurred in 2006 was still fresh in our minds. Finished the day with a meal and a beer in The Miners Gold Brewery next door.
6 years ago we hopped in some packrafts and floated down Wasson Creek to see some elusive waterfalls. Thursday 22nd April Diesel heater on again this morning as getting very cold here now in Tasmania. Had a lazy day doing odd jobs and finished a puzzle. Late afternoon we lit a fire and cooked outside.
Wed 24th April Lots of rain in the night was the first for ages. Had a drive out to Clarence Point and Kelso Bay. Up then to Greens Point and The Narawntapu Lookout. It was blowing gale and freezing up there. Later we drove to Beauty Point and had a fish n chips lunch. Back at Keith-would you believe the guy in the next caravan was from Luton where I was born! And even went to the same school!Terry Payne. Small world.

Tuesday 23rd April Had a lazy morning then drove to Beauty Point had a coffee then went in the Creative Discovery Centre. Spent a couple of hours in there. You need to have an open mind here and even if you don’t believe that God created the world in 6 days they made quite compelling theories that a flood could have occurred. It was very interesting and well worth a visit. Certainly got our minds working. Nice sunset back at Keith later on.
