So I was in the midst of working on my Captain Marvel retrospective anniversary post when I decided against that, wait for women's history month to end (since that movie is a blight on female empowerment for what it actually represents) and instead, share with all of you something from my collection. Since last week marked the 10th anniversary for the Festival of Fantasy parade, it only seemed appropriate that I would share two pins that are also ten years old. Released corresponding to the release of this parade, these two pins are part of a limited release mystery box set all based around the Festival of Fantasy parade. While the back of the box showcases eight pins guests can potentially get if they purchase one of these boxes, the box also teased eight additional pin guests could, bringing the total of this set up to sixteen. What's actually interesting is the design of the pin, as each pin reflects the style and design of the floats they're apart of. For example, the Beauty and the Beast as well The Princess and the Frog pins have the same kind of flowers and ribbon styles that match their float. Granted, it's not much, but considering that the two couples are part of the same float, there's obviously going to be similarities. If compared these two to some other pin that's from a different float (like Ariel or Dragon Maleficent), then you would notice a difference. I must admit that these two pins were hard to track down considering both of these two fairytale's popularity. But it is nice to have them, both because it helps with three character pin collections (Belle and the Beast being two of those individual collections) and because they represent this parade I do so enjoy.

While I already made a post on this yesterday, I completely overlooked the fact that today marks the anniversary for one of the most creative and delightfully entertaining performances in the Magic Kingdom. I'm of course referring to the Festival of Fantasy parade, which in this day ten years ago, first graced our presence on the Main Street. When it comes to creativity and imagination, Disney excels at it. It's not always perfect and there's times where it comes across as cheap and lazy (like the before mentioned horrible design for both snake Jafar and dragon Maleficent in Fantasmic). But when effort is put into the project, it's truly a sight to behold. And no where is this more evident than the dazzling designs on display for the Festival of Fantasy parade. The parade is dedicated to all those wonderful fairytales and fantasy stories we all know and love, such as Beauty and the Beast, Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Frozen, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Fantasia and so on. These include characters that are everywhere in the park as well as only appearing in this parade. These include Beast, Belle, Tiana, Naveen, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Prince Philip, the Three Good Fairies, Pascal, Flynn Rider and so on. But aside from the cavalcade of characters that I love to see in this parade, it's the parade's colorful cast of performers that can sometimes steal the spot light from our characters. From their cheeky responses and reactions to their elegant and graceful dance moves, they really do stand out as some the best parts of the parade. Not mention the wonderful and creative outfits on display. Now as I've said before, I'm not really into fashion and all that as it's a meh topic. But if there's a beautifully designed outfit that can get me to admire the look and design of the outfit, you know you've done a good job. Most of the amazing and stunning outfits come from the women performers who have some of the most unique outfits on display. My personal favorites include the Royal Swan Court, the Seashell queen, the Pegasus girls, the bubble girls and the cha-cha girls. (Continues in the next comment)
