If I had to think of a word to describe what our night was like, I would say “magic.” We made so many core memories. From getting to meet characters like Cinderella, Aladdin, Tiana, and Mirabel, to delicious food for all ages, incredible decor, and a magical moment where guests are encouraged to believe in themselves to make their wishes come true, this experience truly delivers everything quintessential Disney. ✨ The highlight of our night was getting to see Eithan’s “wish” come true by meeting Mirabel. Ever since we saw the movie Encanto in theaters in Colombia while finalizing Eithan’s adoption, he has been hooked. He definitely sees himself in this movie and that is so special. The joy in his face and the level of excitement he carried into the moment Mirabel came by our table was so meaningful. Forever thankful and blessed that we get to do these things. It’s not lost on me that these moments would not happen if it were not for all of YOU! It’s #funfriday so let’s talk about rides at Disneyland and how you can use Genie+ effectively to ride your favorite attractions! 🎢 Disney’s Genie+ service is an optional add-on for your ticket that lets you use Lightning Lane entrances at select attractions and experiences – and skip the standby line! To use a Lighting Lane entrance for a ride, you must book a time slot in the Disney app.📱 One easy way to maximize your use of Genie+ is to know what attractions are more likely to “sell out” of time slots at each park. Disney only allows a set number of ride slots to be booked per day with Genie+ so the most popular rides can and do sell out! Swipe to take a look at my suggested Genie+ ride bookings based on how quickly they typically sell out of time slots. as a more recent Star Wars fan, I didn’t expect to be so taken by Galaxy’s Edge at the @disneyland park 💫 this area of the park was so crazy immersive and truly transported you to a whole other galaxy. we rope dropped Smuggler’s Run (after finding out halfway there that Rise of the Resistance was not going to open until later lol) and had a crazy ride to start the day. we went back later in the day for lunch, another round on Smuggler’s Run (we did WAY better this time), drinks at Oga’s Cantina (if you’re not American bring your passport as ID because they won’t serve you alcohol without it 🫠) and a long line with a brief technical difficult before riding at Rise of the Resistance. overall this area of the park was incredible and I wish we could have spent more time there wandering around and exploring (but I guess we’ll just have to do that next trip 🙋🏼♀️)
Hello everyone 👱🏻♀️ I’m Samantha 👋🏻 I can remember visiting Disney World as a child. I remember it being a magical place and I loved every second of it, meeting Mickey and Minnie to playing in Toontown, it was so much fun. As a young adult I participated in a Disney College Program, where I was put to work on Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom. My program ended and I went back home for a while but I missed Disney. After a few years, I decided to move my family and I back to Florida where I worked on Main Street once again but this time as a full-time cast member . I worked different positions that I couldn’t on my college program. Eventually, life happened and we had to move back north. Since we came back north, I only been back once on a parent-cation. We’ve had 3 more children in that time and a roller coaster of life events. ✨ Disney is truly my happy place so I decided to create this account to share my favorite tips and tricks for going to Disney World especially with kids. I finally met Edna Mode, and she was as fabulous as ever. 🕶️🎉 At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, over in Pixar Plaza (right before you get to Toy Story Land), in the back you can see a building on the left hand side called the Edna Mode Experience. Here you can visit Edna Mode’s Super-Suit Gallery to see some of her greatest designs and at the end, you can strike a pose with Edna herself. To be honest, I don’t think too many people know about or maybe visit this location, because there was absolutely no line when we got there! Plus, it’s inside! So it was a great way to escape the Orlando heat and meet a character in the process. We made it to Foodie Friday! This is the weekly post where I'm showcasing dining spots you should check out during your next Walt Disney World trip, places you should avoid, items that are especially amazing (or terrible), and dining locations I'd like your feedback on! This Foodie Friday is a full resort feature, where I'm recommending a spot to stay if you want lots of access to highly-rated dining options. Animal Kingdom Lodge is an all-around excellent resort choice. It's typically the least-expensive Deluxe resort (tied with Wilderness Lodge) and has plenty of cheap DVC rentals too. The theming is exquisite, and nothing beats having animals outside your room or the back porch of the resort. But even more impressive is the food. Especially from a table-service perspective, you can't beat the line-up at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Jiko, Sanaa, and Boma regularly rate in the top 10 restaurants at Walt Disney World. Even better, you can get quick service breakfast at Sanaa - one of the best options anywhere on property. Even the pool bars aren't slacking, with unique African beers (and other drinks), plus reliable food options. After every WDW trip, @theunofficialguides readers and @touringplans users can give each dining location they experience a thumbs up or thumbs down, and the options at Animal Kingdom Lodge get a lot of thumbs up.
