D&December: Day 31: Illithid Sorcerer. . . N'ygoth Brainboil, Gatekeeper of the Abyss. N'ygoth was once a man, who's only goal in life was to surpass his predecessors, and surpass the current abilities of any sorcerer in Leythlann. While most mortals have enough common sense and practicality to know when to draw the line in searching for power - but N'ygoth lacks that inhibitor. In his search for knowledge, he learned of a rumored tome of flesh, bound together by stitchings of great wizards skin, holding in it an untapped knowledge of the cosmos, and the abyss. He hired a great council of sorcerers from his college of spellcasters to aid in an adventure to the starfall ruins, where after many days of spelunking they came to a grand chamber full of candles, still lit, surrounding a large pillar of black crystals, and before it a grand tome, which matched the description of the book N'ygoth yearned for. The mages in the party warned of the apparent dangers of such an item, but N'ygoth would not listen. When he went for the books, the sorcerers in his party turned on N'ygoth attempting to stop him, but they under estimated his levels of spellcrafting, and N'ygoth killed all of the others with him, and collected his prize. When he opened the book, a brilliant flash of arcane light bathed the chamber in a white light. N'ygoth felt his flesh begin to rip and tear, and a dark voice enter his mind - offering him more power, beyond mortal comprehension, and the terms of the contract to bring about this power. And of course, N'ygoth accepted, now bound to a dark lord, in an attempt to return him to the mortal realms, in an exchange for untold power. N'ygoth now slithers in the shadows, collecting reagents at the whill of his dark master. . . This concludes my (delayed) D&December 2020 prompt list! The Scarlet Rose are a clerical brotherhood of priests, who heal through the power of sacrifice. Most carry a chain of thorns, which they use to flagellate themselves, drawing blood in sacrifice to heal others. Depending on the severity of their target's wounds, they increasingly deal more and more damage to themselves. Most of the clergy have bodies marred in scars and wounds that seemingly never heal, as they are constantly opened in sacrifice of others. Most of them hide their wounds under fine cloth while in the presence of the public, unless in servitude of others. D&December: Day 29: Vedalken Bard. . . (Since I don't really have a Vedalken race in Leythlann, the closest thing would be a half-merfolk.) Gil'girius the Golden Voice. Gil'girius, often only referred to as 'The Voice' - started his adventuring as a tinkerer, making machines and gadgets that harnessed the power of the ether around Leythlann. He was known for singing in his workshop as he worked and would often draw a crowd as he worked. One day his singing caught the attention of a halfling bard, who's curiosity brought him into the shop. Mesmerized by the things he saw, he approached Gil'girius and offered to teach him how to compose music and some basic bard spells, in exchange for help with an invention he had been dreaming up, a device that would use crystals to attune to the ether around them to amplify sound vibrations to increase the range in which they could be heard. Gil'girius was curious as to what the two could come up with. And after many months of tinkering and work they had come up with a device, they called the 'Reverberating amplification box' which would amplify sounds to levels currently impossible with instruments or voices. The halfling was so great full, he taught Gil'girius most everything he knew and allowed him to keep the schematics they had come up with when he departed. Most goliaths live a life of solitude, moving around the tundra searching for their next hunt. Few tribes exist, as they are severely competitive and territorial, but those that have come together have an unbreakable bond, and undying loyalty to their clans. D'Yelltha is known as the Tundra hunter, her name sung throughout the expanse - as goliath are a largely hunter species, they have a widely known tradition - when they hunt new and savage prey, when they return victorious from their hunts, they are marked with a tattoo, symbolizing their kills. Sseteth, made his name by becoming one of the best known Stormclerics early in their foundation, by performing the first known ritual of capturing lightning in a bottle. Sseteth's knowledge of the elements, and how to use science and with the aid of Dwarven forgemasters, was able to capture the very power and fury of lightning itself. With this powerful spellcraft, he was able to make a near fortune for the Stormclerics, as he could capture and sell lightning to be used in various things such a rituals, adventurers, and scientists - the recipe for 'stormglass' is something that Sseteth guards closely, and it's said that only three people know how to craft it; Sseteth, and his two forgemasters. On top of his vast knowledge of science, Sseteth preaches the power of the storm, and often is able to change the minds of a non-believer with a quick display of lightning in a bottle. Sseteth teaches that one day the great blue storm drake will return, and with his teachings, and knowledge of harnessing lightning he himself may raise an army to stop the coming destruction of Leythlann. Aargonius spend most of his days preaching at the temple of the bronze sun. Aargonius was a faithful man, whom always served the bronze sun faithfully and without question. A knight-templar of the order, Aargonius would often venture out to Leythlann to destroy the evils of the land, be it the faithless, undead, demons, and everything in between. It was on his 38th birthday, that he had been spending some time under his favorite tree in his home village, when there was a loud explosion that came from the castle keep, Aargonius looked up from his religious tome, when a second, much louder explosion came, engulfing the island in a dark, firey explosion that could be seen from Kingsguard. This was nearly two hundred years ago. Now, Aargonius spends his days in an endless torturous loop, a never ending nightmare of fighting back the hordes of undead, no matter how many he kills, each day they return. Cursed by his faith, he retains his consciousness in this endless loop - forever unable to escape the hell that has become the time-forgotten expanse. A place where time seemingly resets to the same moment every day, the inhabitants unable to escape, day in and day out. Hoppip'un, a 'reptilian' beast man, spends most of his time out in the swamps and forests of the elven realms, hunting with his beast Togi'un. Hoppip'un actually runs a small tent-shop just on the outskirts of Murkwater, where he sells various pheromones used by hunting parties to attract various beasts. Togi'un is a special bat that various hunters covet as they are able to pick up on small traces of pheromones in the air - and are great for scouting and locating prey. My 31th and last drawing of "D&December" inspired by the prompt "crown" and is one the sovereign ruler who imprisoned my undead adventurers. I knew I needed a unique ruler for the sovereign and final boss for my undead adventurers to battle. A half celestial seemed like a good idea and since angels are celestials I thought I would give him some underdeveloped wings and for fun I gave him pointed earsand gave sinister red glow in his eyes. For his armor I thought it would be good to give him a torso armor plate that was fashioned to look like muscles. For the crown I made something similar to the helmet I designed for my mage knight with a spike holding a halo. For weapons I was inspired by Orcrist from the Hobbit movies and so I gave him two of them. As the undead finally stormed the throne room the wight Agnar was the first to face the sovereign; but all he could do was defend against the sovereign powerful attack. It was looking grim for the wight but then the ghoul Eurad and vampire Vasilica joined the fight cutting off one of his wings. Despite being outnumbered the undead were barely a match for his martial skill and he could also cast spells burning Vasilica and blinding Eurad before Kora joined the fight with a small band of zombies and skeletons which swarmed the sovereign as the lich healed Vasilica. He summoned the shield guardian who pinned Kora and Agnar slowly crushing them. Then Taras jumped onto the hulking construct and drained it of all magic before all five undead adventurers teamed up and attacked. Agnar managed to disarm him of one of his swords with a shield bash which gave Eurad an opening to bite the sovereign infecting him with his vile venom. As the sovereign slowed down Vasilica sunk her fangs into her neck and Agnar pinned his other sword as he pressed his palm on his chest draining his life force. The sovereign tried to shake them off with his magic; but it was dispelled by Kora as Taras cast his own life draining spell. Weakened, paralyzed and dying in the middle of his throne room the sovereign has fallen and a new undead nation is born. #dnd #dndecember2020 #dndecember #dndecemberchallenge

D&December: Day 23: Kenku Ranger. . . Pagu and Pogo the Skittish Plinkers. Pagu met Pogo practically at birth, as his parents were both seasoned marksmen for the T'sun military, training Skaggs as spotters, he also had first pick for new litters, but rather than picking the expected best of the best, Pagu picked the runt of the litter - and they've become inseparable ever since. Pogo is a Skagg, which are often used as spotters, and as alerts for approaching foes - armed with an incredible sense of smell, and hearing they help their marksmen pinpoint hidden foes. Now most avian beastmen prefer the use of bow and arrow, some go down the dangerous path of riflemen, which requires a natural connection with mana and the ability to use magics - but often they are unable to keep to this path as the loud explosions of their magical rifles often lowers the skaggs' hearing, and often causes the beastmen too much stress, and over time wears them down to chattering messes. D&December: Day 22: Firbolg Rogue. . . Taki Moomeadow - Relic Hunter. Taki, used to be an every day pick pocket, fencing trinkets and baubles from passer-bys in Market row. He constantly used gold to buy new equipment to better advance his thief skills, until he decided to approach a mystery merchant, offering magical armor, all unidentified and seemingly unique. There was a belt that called to him, and he purchased it, and went to put it on immediately. Once the final clasp was in place, his current armor and gear seeming evaporated off his skin. And there he stood, in the middle of market row, with nothing but his belt and his wits. A cursed item, the spirit spoke to him, attaching to his spirit. His curse, now bound to him. Unable to wear any other equipment but his belt, unable to even wear rings, necklaces or trinkets. But with this curse, comes the power of the belt, now able to vanish into thin air at a whim - able to go completely invisible and become completely silent. My 25th drawing of "D&December" which is a redesign on my 5th prompt "rogue" redrawing the character in the future. After the attack by the divine order my undead adventurers retreated for a number of years; but have now returned even more powerful in their quest for vengeance. Taking my fifth character the rogue ghoul Eurad and redrawing her as my predator ghoul. I almost thought I should not change Eurad's look from when I had first drawn him; but then I thought I should and draw him looking more prepared for a fight than some skulking figure. I changed up his attire a little bit giving him a large coif, gave him a couple extra scars here and there. Tied his original bone handle blade on his back and giving him a wrist blade like the Predator. When my undead adventurers returned they came leading a vast horde of undead. Eurad led packs of ghouls up from the city sewers and catacombs terrorizing the city behind the lines tying up troops, setting fires and attacking the helpless. #dnd #dndecember #dndecember2020 #dndecemberchallenge
My 24th drawing of "D&December" which is a redesign on my 4th prompt "healer" redrawing the character in the future. After the attack by the divine order my undead adventurers retreated for a number of years; but have now returned even more powerful in their quest for vengeance. Taking my fourth character the Sister Lich Kora and redrawing her as the Lich Mother. Kora was once a warrior nun and I kept her outfit looking the same for the most part; but I gave her a crown and changed out her weapon from the crude looking mace I originally had drawn for her and gave her a weapon similar to Balin's sword-mace from the Hobbit. Kora will use her magic to hide her grotesque undead appearance which will fade away when she has to use her magic for other spells so I thought it would be could to show that happening by giving her the face of a living woman that's giving away to her actual appearance and I did the same with her hand. When my undead adventurers returned they came leading a vast horde of undead. As healers supported the defenders they suddenly started to feel their magic waning. Kora knew their powers of healing and so she knew how to disrupt it. The city defender would look in shock when they see her casually walking through a sea of undead in her white robes with some of the undead speaking in their sick twisted voices calling her mother as she regenerated their wounds. As the battle raged and the defenders lost their confidence they could see her appearance slowly growing more wretched and disgusting as if representing their inevitable defeat. #dnd #dndecember #dndecember2020 #dndecemberchallenge

After the attack by the divine order my undead adventurers retreated for a number of years; but have now returned even more powerful in their quest for vengeance. Taking my second character Taras a tiefling deathlock and redrawing him as my Deathseer. I changed up most of Taras look giving him a new outfit but keeping the boots and the belt. I also remosved more of his skin showing off his muscle tissue and some bone. In the last drawing his tail was half deteriorated so I covered it up with an armored tail weapon. I yanked out his hair kept his empty eye sockets and gave him a third eye which was gifted to him by the god of death making him the Deathseer drawing him to death and horror showing him the weakness and fear in his enemies as well as giving him new abilities to create more undead and increasing his magical power. When my undead adventurers returned they came leading a vast horde of undead. Taras is mostly responsible for creating this nightmarish army being drawn to death knowing where to find and create more. Taras directed the swarms of zombies and skeletons like he was conducting and orchestra, knowing where to hit hardest and using his horde to mask the approach of other more dangerous undead. #dnd #dndecember2020 #dndecember #dndecemberchallenge

Taking my first character Agnar, a wight who was once a knight and redrawing him as my Dreadknight. I gave Agnar a whole new set of armor and a shield giving him the battle ax I originally designed for my 9th drawing the Dragonborn Paladin. I thought of giving him a enclosed helmet; but I wanted to show his face to show he is the same character plus he strikes me as the type of character who sudden bite his opponent in the middle of a fight if he got the chance; but I did I give him an menacing crown. Where ever soldiers put up a strong resistance a gang of armored wights would fall upon them being led by Agnar the Dreaknight. #dndecember day 29: Powers from Beyond Another great prompt for a warlock. Presenting the most powerful character I’ve ever played; Damien Nightshade, Half-Elf Warlock. It was a 16th level one-shot, and our DM was not prepared for the broken builds that us players would cook up. He let us pick our own magic items, which explains the staff of power in Damien’s hand. With an unholy combination of Hex Warrior, Hexblade’s curse, and Elven Accuracy, this edgelord was a crit-fishing monster. His armor class was through the roof, and he was guarded by Armor of Hexes, Shadow of Moil, and Blink. For those of you who don’t speak D&D, he hit like a truck and couldn’t be hit back. Leandra was born in the city of Kingsguard, her mother and father were both Storm Clerics of the Bronze Drake Order, so naturally she was born with a natural talent. Storm Clerics are a bit different from normal Clerics, in they harness the power of lightning to strike down their foes, bolster their natural toughness, and restore health and vigor to their allies. By the age of 12, Leandra was already given the rank of High Cleric, and by 15 she had become a Grand Cleric of the Order, allowing her to become a teacher herself. Although she has not taken a single student, instead she constantly trains in the wilds, honing her abilities. She has been able to hone her abilities beyond what was thought possible, even being able to revive fallen allies from death's door with a quick jolt of electricity to their heart. #dndecember day 27: Treasure Decided to draw Drakul among a horde of iconic dnd loot, holding up the greatest magic item in the game: the wand of magic missiles. It may not be as powerful as some of the other items present here, but for whatever reason Drakul always finishes off the boss fight with a magic missile spell from this wand. My 20th drawing of "D&December" inspired by the prompt "cross" and is a lord commander of a divine order come to attack my team of undead adventurers. As my team of undead adventurers fight for their lives against the divine order they retreated into the nearby temple. Once inside they managed to barricade the entrance. However they have have trapped themselves inside with the lord commander, a Mage Knight. Commanding a holy order of knights in D&D a need to come up with a unique character. I had some people suggesting an angel or celestial; but they all seemed just a bit to powerful so I thought I would combine a knight and mage which would most likely just be a cleric; but for the story he is a Mage Knight lord commander of the divine order. To separate him from the other knights I took away the wing shoulder armor an changed the helmet up by giving it a spike and decorative halo ring. The armor vambraces on his forearm's I gave a look similar to long feathers and for his main weapon I gave him a sword staff which is a rather unique weapon that I don't see being used very often in fantasy. For the prompt I went with this idea I had which allows him to face off against multiple foes and that is cross made of burning light making it hard for an enemy to attack him from behind. Battling the Mage Knight nearly killed every one of my undead adventurers and it took everything they had to beat him. As my undead adventurers remained surrounded by the knights of the divine order the deathlock Taras told everyone he could get them out; but that it would mean being teleported back to the ancient necropolis which was their prison. All the undead agreed and decided on a plan to put their revenge on hold break out of the necropolis and strike out for the frontier territories build up their strength and return for their revenge. As the knight came crashing though the barricade the undead adventurers were teleported away to safety. #dnd #dndecember #dndecember2020 #dndecemberchallenge
My 19th drawing of "D&December" inspired by the prompt "order" and is a religious warrior of a divine order come to attack my team of undead adventurers. After my team of undead defeated their potential rivals they needed more than Kora's healing so they made way to a small town where they also hoped to feed. However when they got to the town they found it was abandoned. Then trumpets sounded and the undead soon realized they were surrounded by knights of the nations most divine order. I knew I needed to draw a knight; but I also knew I needed to add something extra. So I added some make shift wing adornments to the shoulder armor pauldrons giving them an angelic look. I thought of making them larger; but I thought that would be to much of an impediment. The knights heavy assault proved taxing on my undead adventurers as they fought a running battle all the way to the towns temple hoping to hold up inside; but found it was a trap. #dnd #dndecember #dndecember2020 #dndecemberchallenge

This hard here dresses up as Kronon by wearing a mask and boots representing it. Then they will play music all night long and people will dance to it. Though they may seem nice, this cult is very dangerous and one of the biggest ones out there. In the time of my group we encountered a base of this cult and there was about 300 in the base.
