Philodendron 'Splendid' happily climbing the bookshelf (plant shelf lol) It's honestly crazy to me how easy this plant is compared to either of its parents, Philo verrucosum and Philo melanochrysum. It's not that either of them are insanely hard, but they are both ultra susceptible to spider mites, ecc. The splendid is basically just chilling while I've had multiple melanos and verrucosum bite the dust while getting way more care and attention ๐ This plant gets some direct morning sun and then bright indirect light throughout the day. It is living in an ultra lazy semi-hydro set up in Pon. I water when the reservoir is empty but not dry, usually with a diluted universal fertilizer.

This big monstera albo has been through a lot, but it's making an awesome comeback! I brought it home from the shop a few months ago after its growth had just completely stalled and it was starting to decline. After a bit of investigation I discovered that it basically didn't have a root system. (We received it in a large pot, growing in soil, with the assumption that it was a well established plant. In reality it seemed more like a cutting rooted in water that was hastily potted up before sale.) It never had a chance because we were treating it as a fully rooted plant when it really needed to be babied for a while still. After discovering its major lack of roots I put it into water for a month and the roots exploded. Then I transferred it to leca with the water reservoir very full at first and the rest is history. I'm not even mad about the variegation. This new leaf is everything I could have hoped for!

Interrupting your regularly scheduled Hoya posts to show off my cutie dog Rex helping me in the plant room. Rex is 13 years old this month and has been with me through thick and thin. He is my best poochie friend and the most loyal dog youโll ever meet. He has doggie dementia (which I didnโt even know was a thing). Itโs getting harder for him to move around, but he still loyally follows me downstairs every day to do plant chores. Also, I went through a bunch of my stones the other day so I could work on updating Etsy listings. Anthurium warocqueanum growing happily in some Pon and a jam jar in 35% humidity. Sometimes you just have to give plants some time to adjust. This guy is doing way better than my other warq that is in a classic chunky aroid mix in my greenhouse cabinet. It gets some direct morning sun and then bright indirect light throughout the day. I water when the reservoir is empty, but not bone dry, sometimes with an ultra diluted universal fertilizer.
