Winter school from @makeitindesign wrapped up earlier this week, so I thought I would share the pattern I created for the Folktales brief. I went with a forest theme with trees, squirrels, birds, foxes, and of course, bears. I always enjoy taking part in winter/summer school, because it pushes me to try out new themes and color palettes. I also love being able to use the vector brushes in Adobe Fresco for doodling a bunch of little leaves and flowers all over everything. It's another bear celebration day over on Explore, so it's another day with two (!!!!) posts from me. Today it's a quick drawing of 22, one of my favorite quirky bears. I always enjoy how he shows up for a brief time in the summer, mostly to check out Brooks Falls and say hi to his equally quirky friends, then he disappears until fall when he suddenly starts hanging out at the falls every single day. Usually on his favorite rock, which I think he must sublet from 89 and the 708 family. It's another bear celebration day over on Explore, featuring the 504 family. The 504s all amuse me in their own ways, but when it came time to sit down and do a quick drawing of one of them, I immediately thought of 504's oldest son, 821, and the very entertaining nap he took on the spit last year.
