"and i hated you when we were younger / at least back then i thought i did / so afraid you'd blow my cover / that i was just a little kid" -- "marginalia" by @ellajanemusic! i've been looking forward to posting this incredible indie pop masterpiece since i first heard it last october, but i wanted to wait until i received both copies in the mail. i've been a fan of ella's since she only had 3 singles out and i was thrilled for this album back when it was announced. it's just bop after bop. the track i chose for the soundtrack to this post is one of the more acoustic songs on the album, but there are also several more upbeat songs, too. they don't all sound the same, but they work together so well. the deluxe version of "marginalia," which is the gold one you can see, also features a bonus track called "dog years" (which ella produced herself- so cool!) and a remix of "sore loser" featuring charlie hickey, ella's boyfriend who is also an artist (he's signed to saddest factory records, @phoebebridgers's label!). i was so psyched to receive my copies of this album, and i'm so thrilled to be able to spin it and hold it in my hands. what an incredible project. i 100% recommend it. -- #music #indiepop #indiemusic #faderlabel #ellajane #marginalia #charliehickey #ellajanevinyl #vinyl #vinylcollection #vinylcollector #recordcollection #recordcollector #record
