TLDR: Vegas, we will miss you! Hello (again) NYC!! After five years in Las Vegas, it’s time for Amy and I to say goodbye. The siren song of NYC calls once again. I moved from Brooklyn in 2018 to open @ralphperrazzo ’s bBd’s, which was a ton of work and a fantastic learning experience. I still miss Ralph’s food, but more importantly, I had the opportunity to work with some very passionate and talented people. I was then fortunate to befriend @jerad_king_ and help him open a natural-wine focused distribution company called Alt Imports! I had a blast learning & watching pure entrepreneurialism in the form of Jerad’s daily juggling of multiple businesses, projects, and people. I also loved translating my “tasting brain” and palate from the craft beer world to natural wine. I’m proud of our work at Alt Imports and the progress we’ve made in Vegas, accomplished in no small part by the work of Alt and, in the last few years, by the hard work of @embaddock as Alt Import’s Sales Manager. We met so many great people that we will miss. Too many to mention (you all know who you are!!), but a huge thank you to our all-star neighbors. @jolenemannina & @808_dave showed us the ropes, and despite their being Phish fans (I kid, I kid), we always had the best time hanging out! A special shout-out as well to Jerad & @staciperkins_ . We’ll miss the mid-week get-togethers and watching Saxon grow way too fast. We appreciate you both! After a whirlwind home sale, we are back in New York. I’m excited to see what opportunities await in the Natural Wine and/or Craft Beer Industry in NYC. Shameless plug: If you know of anyone in New York who is looking for an enterprising “young” go-getter with experience curating cutting-edge beverage lists (Tørst), running alcohol distribution company operations (Alt Imports), and managing restaurant ops for large specialty restaurants (bBd’s), please let me know!
