MI RENO DE PELUCHE 🦌 La semana pasada vi esta serie que ha estado en boca de todos desde que se estrenó y realmente se merece todo el reconocimiento que está teniendo porque es BRUTAL 😮 La premisa es simple, un fortuito encuentro entre Donny y Martha que desemboca en el desarrollo de una curiosa relación, pero la serie es tan dinámica e intensa que te atrapa desde el primer minuto y no te suelta hasta el final. ¡No podía parar de ver un episodio tras otro! 🫢 Esta historia de acoso, abuso y autodestrucción da muy mal rollo, por momentos es inquietante y me parece muy fuerte todo lo que sufre el protagonista, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que está basada en hechos reales y que fue el propio actor que escribe y protagoniza la serie el que vivió todo esto en primera persona 😱 Además, pienso que es muy valiente por su parte que haya decidido compartir su historia de esta forma tan transparente 🙌🏼 En cuanto a los personajes, todos están bien interpretados pero los actores protagonistas Richard Gadd y Jessica Gunning están a otro nivel, sobre todo esta última, que ofrece una actuación increíblemente buena y escalofriante (sus expresiones faciales 😳). Entrando más en detalle sobre la trama, al principio algunas actitudes de Donny me pusieron un poco nerviosa ya que no entendía muy bien por qué él le seguía tanto el rollo a Martha. Sin embargo, la serie va más allá del tema del acoso y Donny resulta tener más traumas de lo que parece, así que no me parece justo juzgarlo. Por otro lado, Teri y los padres de Donny son las únicas personas coherentes en esta historia 👏🏼😌 El episodio 4 es el más duro, el más difícil de ver de todos y el que más impotencia e incomodidad me generó 😣 Y la escena del monólogo, buff descorazonadora 💔 Por último, el final me pareció un poco anticlimático, ya que esperaba algo más, pero entiendo que si eso fue lo que pasó en la realidad no hay nada que reprochar 🤷🏻♀️ En definitiva, es una serie muy impactante y estoy segura de que no dejará indiferente a nadie. Homicide: New York is easily one of the best true crime related limited series I’ve seen Netflix release in the entire time it’s been around. That is high praise coming from myself as they seem to do a new true crime release every week, if not more. This is 5-episodes of some of the most shocking murders ever committed in NYC, and I didn’t know about a single one of them. Episodes Ranked: 1. Central Park Slaying 2. East Harlem Serial Killer 3. Midtown Slasher 4. Carnegie Deli Massacre 5. Vanished on Wall Street The murders here are brutal and disturbing. I’m not talking about just your average shootings or stabbings. I’m talking about people being gutted and left in Central Park. The rape and murders of young girls. This stuff actually shocked me and the violent and savagery of these killings is worth the 4.5 hour investment and binge. I thought this was truly one of the finest true crime shows I’ve watched. Dick Wolf of Law & Order fame is the creator of this thing, and it shows all over it. There is an actual production budget behind it. The series also shows the toll that it takes on the detectives and those who show up to these crime scenes. It felt like we were getting both sides of the crimes. Victims, families and those who are sent to protect us and solve our murders. Let's talk enrichment... Enrichment for our dogs comes in many forms. From sniffing to problem solving & everything in between. The key to successful enrichment is ensuring the chosen activity is something your dog will enjoy. Frustration with enrichment can sometimes be counterproductive & depending on the dog, it may put them off trying something new/more difficult in the future. For example, none of my dogs enjoy a traditional Kong. However, they all adore the Yoggie Pot (pictured). We keep our enrichment fillers simple, wet meat, Pate, soaked kibble, peanut butter, primula, etc. Something we also like to do is top certain enrichment with a natural chew for added fun/dental care. This is a high reccomended film to understand the Vietnam War in perspective like a platoon or Full metal Jacket. 9/10 We Were Soldiers: Mel Gibson and a great cast based off the book about Lt. Col. Hal Moore's experience as the leader of the first air calvary in Vietnam War. This is a reccomend next Apocalypse Now. 9/10 Payback (Director's Cut): Based on Robert Stark's Parker novel The Hunter, A thief is left for dead after a robbery job decides to hunt him down to get his money only finding out others are interested as well. Their are 2 cuts to this film, theatrical where it ends happily, or this version which is closer to the book and the original Director's version. It's actually a faithful adaptation but I would need to see the Theatrical version to know. Reccomended but depending on the person. 8/10 Fallout: Based off the hit games, a vault dweller is sent out to find a person that can save her father and on the way encounters a ghoul and a Brotherhood of Steel Soldier. This is a good show but I could understand If you don't like it. This is set along after the games so you don't need to play any of the games (more fun if you had but not to different if not). Con una muy buena musicalización, ambientes fieles a la época, un muy buen elenco actoral, ese estilo vintage que tanto me gusta y varios momentos de buena fotografía, “El secuestro del vuelo 601” me gustó y, sí, me la terminé en dos días (tiempo récord para mí). Además de estar inspirada en un hecho histórico, esta miniserie nos presenta de manera magistral una interesante mezcla de momentos que me llevaron desde la tensión por lo inesperado hasta la alegría por lo simple; desde el asombro por los alcances que podemos tener hasta la misericordia por las más profundas heridas del alma humana; desde observar la oscuridad en la que nos podemos ver atrapados hasta la luz en un día cotidiano, común y corriente... me refiero a esos días en que sin darnos cuenta hallamos fortaleza. 2024 Series #23 Baby Reindeer - ★★★★ (2024) I don't want to say too much about this show because I hope that those who see it will be as pleasantly impressed as I was. Baby Reindeer starts out as something that seems like a dark comedy about a stalker and then it escalates into something much obscure, and much more complex. That opening salvo is just the beginning of an excavation of buried traumas that are unknowingly undermining the life of its main character. The show is sharp, entertaining and quite well acted. Its deceptive simplicity is a mere facade. This is one of the best series Netflix has released in a long time and Netflix didn't even bother to promote it.
