If you do not fulfill that responsibility within 48 hours of cancelation/reschedule, any future appointments that are already on my book will be canceled. Because our day revolves around a schedule and when someone cancels last minute, it not only disrupts our entire day but it also effects our income. I never want anyone to think I’m ignoring them, but how is someone suppose to know that, if it’s not communicated? The story behind the name Flourish Hair Company… When I decided it was time to leave the salon I worked in for over 9 years, I knew I needed a name for my business. I imagine the difficultly of naming your business is similar to the same as naming your child. I had a list. I’d think of new names and jot them down. I wanted something biblical, because I knew that this new journey was being led by God. With that tho, I didn’t want it to be overly “religious” because I did not want anyone siting in my chair to ever feel unwelcome. All are welcome! I wanted something strong but gentle. Pretty and different but not cheesy. Gender neutral because my clientele is men, women and children. The list was long but nothing was speaking to me. On the day I put in my two weeks, my anxiety was through the roof. It took me two whole hours to call my boss. I took a shower, shaking. My mind reeling. After the shower I opened Instagram and the very first thing I saw on my feed was the Bible verse “the righteous flourish like a palm tree…”- Psalm 92:12. That was it. Flourish. At the time, I was in such a season of new growth, a new birth, a new journey in my career and in my personal life. It spoke so clearly to me. 4 and a half years later I’m still here.
