NEW for Pixar Fest is the Pixar Pals Playtime Party, which takes places daily inside the Fantasyland Theatre. This high energy area has interactive games, photo-ops, character meet and greets, and LOTS of dancing! Here are our initial thoughts ⬇️ This party has lots of potential! The performers leading the games and dancing were awesome, and it was a lot of fun each time more characters came out. With other activities spread out throughout the space, it feels a bit disjointed, but I think the idea is that you can bounce between each activity on your own time. It’s worth noting that although the theatre officially opens at 11:30 a.m. and lots of people line up early, this is a continuous party that runs until 5:30 p.m. You definitely don’t need to be there at the beginning as even the characters don’t come out on stage until after 12:00 noon. There’s also plenty of seating and room down on the floor in front to accommodate all who care to enjoy this party. We’ll definitely check this out again, and maybe at a later time to see how it differs as the party goes on throughout the day. ➡️ Is this something you plan to do during Pixar Fest? On Friday when I was at Disneyland, I met Fresh Baked Disney. I was walking around Disney California Adventure in front of Grizzly River Run, I saw him filming one of his videos. I asked him if I can get a picture with him and he said yes. I do watch his videos on YouTube though and like his photos on Instagram. Two new-ish items over at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland, neither of which are pizza… 1️⃣ Chicken Sesame-Ginger Vegetable Noodles - very flavor, and generous in both portion size and the amount of fresh vegetables included. 2️⃣ Nebula-swirled Ricotta Pasta - it was nice to try another good pasta option, we enjoyed the slight heat from the chimichurri-spiced ricotta on top. Both items are very filling and good value for the price ($12.99). Mobile ordering is available and Magic Key discounts apply 🗝️ Have you tried either of these yet? If so, what did you think? Neither are mentioned as seasonal items, so hopefully they stick around for a while!

Here are our initial thoughts and early reviews of some of the offerings at this year’s DCA Food & Wine Festival after checking out the soft opening earlier this week… ⏩️ Best new food: BBQ Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese (Nuts About Cheese booth) Best returning food: Grilled Top Sirloin (Garlic Kissed booth) Best non-alcoholic drink: Huckleberry-Citrus Cooler (D-Lish booth) Best sweet treat: Mickey-shaped Macaron (Nuts About Cheese booth) Keep in mind there are over 80 NEW items, not even counting some that are returning from previous years. There’s no way we’ll get to it all, so we went in with a plan for the first day to get some old favorites as well as a handful of new items that looked the most intriguing. We’ll share about more in the coming days and weeks. The good news is that F&W runs until April 22!

It’s officially DCA Food & Wine week! 📌 BE SURE TO SAVE THIS POST 📌 Disney’s best food festival returns this Friday, March 1 and runs until April 22. This year there are over 80 NEW items to try, along with returning favorites, spanning across 10 festival marketplace booths and other food locations throughout Disney California Adventure Park, the Downtown Disney District, and the on-property hotels. We compiled the majority of the most anticipated items, and put a ⭐️ next to ones we know are good from years past. A ✅ represents something new this that we are looking forward to trying! Some other highlights of the Food & Wine Festival include, but are not limited to: - The return of Soarin’ Over California - Confection Purrfection with the Superkitties - The Jammin’ Chefs drummers show - Special character meet and greets - Culinary events such as mixology classes, winemaker receptions, tasting seminars, and celebrity chef appearances Do you have plans to visit DCA during the Food & Wine Festival this year?! Today is the LAST day of the Lunar New Year celebration at DCA! This festival combines special performances, incredible food, kid-friendly crafts and activities, as well as uniques character meet and greets, making it one of the best times of the year to visit. ✨Magic Happens✨ returns TODAY (weather depending) and we are so glad it’s back! This parade is about the most fun 20 minutes you’ll have at Disneyland. The music and performers make it feel like one big party! On days like today with some rain in the forecast, or anytime you’re unsure about the status of daily showtimes, be sure to check the Disneyland app or ask a Cast Member. A normal daily schedule has the parade running twice, at 3:00 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. The first starts near It’s a Small World and travels down Main Street, U.S.A., ending in Town Square. The second show will run in the opposite direction. Keep that in mind when choosing where to watch from! Raise your hand if you’re excited to see Magic Happens again 🙋🏻♂️

The Disney100 celebration at the Disneyland Resort started on this day last year! Jan. 27, 2023 also marked the highly anticipated and very exciting opening day for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This attraction has been a wonderful addition to the park, and is the focal point of the reimagined Toontown, which is now more vibrant and fun than ever before. Happy anniversary, MMRR! 🚂

The Lunar New Year celebration is underway, and the food is always a hit! We’ll be reviewing our favorite items in the days to come. The question is… are you team table or team trash can? 😂 With the influx of higher crowds during these popular food festivals at DCA, it can be tough at times to find a place to sit, but don’t fret- the top of a Disney trash can is a perfectly acceptable spot to post up and eat! The real ones know… no shame!
