Everly’s scans came back and showed a brain tumor. Unfortunately the brain tumor is what is causing her brain bleed. They were told that they don’t know how much more time she has left. I can’t believe it’s been five years since I met this sweet boy. Pryce has been fighting neuroblastoma since 2018, and he’s still fighting extra hard today. August will be six years since his battle started. First photo is from April, 2019. Second photo is from August, 2020. Last two are from September, 2023. I am so honored and grateful that I know this boy. He’s the toughest boy I have ever met. He was three years old going on 4 years old when I first met him and now he will be 9 years old in May. JC had his last day of chemo today! After 14 cycles of chemotherapy, resection surgery, 19 hospital stays, 66 nights in the hospital, 14 blood transfusions, and 2.5 platelet transfusions. HE DID IT. GUYS 😭 We went down and met Naomi this evening and I just have no words. She’s seriously the sweetest kid you could ever meet, and she has a heart of absolute gold. She was telling us how her and her grandma are creating baskets for the children with cancer at their local children’s hospital. Her parents said she is the most giving kid ever. As she was going through her items she took the Nintendo Switch out and was like “oh my gosh a Nintendo” then said, “why did you spend so much on me?” I explained to her about what we do. She thanked us so many times and she was so happy. 🥹 Unfortunately Naomi has progressed and you can see it. They were told that last Christmas would be her last Christmas and that’s all they were told. They will find out more once she has her next set of scans, but they’ve already have had hospice in their home preparing for the worse. My heart breaks. She is the most down to earth and caring kid. This sweet little girl is Kennedy. She fights neuroblastoma and her aunt/guardian reached out to us about sending her a happy bundle to bring her a smile. Kennedy is three years old and has been in active treatment since February, 2022. She will continue to receive oral chemo until at least this year or next year, 2025. Right now she is NED {No Evidence of Disease} but is currently admitted at St. Jude for GI issues from radiation damage. She has been unable to eat solids for 7 months and unfortunately she may never be able to again. Kennedy only weighs at least 21 lbs. I have been wanting to do a post where I reintroduce myself about what I do. I wish I could share way more photos though. 🥹 This is just a short summary. My name is Hannah and I am 26 years old. In June, 2015, I was just 17 years old and I created an account wanting to raise awareness for childhood cancer. After I created the account I was laying in bed one night thinking to myself that I wanted to do more for these kids and how I would wanna do it. That’s when care packages came to mind. I went all over my house looking for change and extra money that I have had left over from things and gathered it all up, and I went to Walmart & Dollar Tree and bought what I could with the little money I had. I started all this with my own money. Later down the road I decided to create a gofundme page, and get PayPal and other sources. I’ve sent hundreds of happy bundles since I started this 8 years (going on 9 years this year) ago. I didn’t expect it to go so well honestly. When I first started it was definitely really hard. Trying to get myself out there and trying to get the help was definitely complicated but it slowly started coming in and it was such a great feeling knowing people wanted to support what I did for these kids. Fast forwarding to this year I still have that amazing support system who wants to help me help these cancer fighters and their families. This year my goal is to help many more warriors, and you all know what that means. That means I will need all of your help to continue my mission this year. I didn’t grab as much as I wanted this evening but it’s a great start. Got my boxes, some bouncing putty, some crayons, bubbles and four different valentine card sets. The cup and face mask is for the older girl that I have. They just found out that is current treatment isn’t working, so they will begin a new treatment plan soon.
